...Almost seems like HE has been *put* into freefall. Hard for unions to be effective in a state of industrial collapse. In the future we'll still have universities, in the same way that we still have factories.
They're deindustrialising the knowledge economy, like they did with the manufacturing economy. No full time employees = no union = no more problems.
