Very tough trail race yesterday. Delighted to get third place in my age category. #running

Last year was mainly spent bashing out road miles during marathon training. This year I have been freed and I'm hitting the hills. A much more satisfying experience. The thrill of racing down steep hills is exhilarating!

In a paper by Blair Evans titled ‘Why We Run’ he interviewed 25,000 runners and found we cluster into 5 types of Runners which one are you? #running

OK, I know this joke is making an entirely different point, but it's a good time to remind people that "If you like to run, you are a runner" I think we are the only pastime that imposes a speed qualification on our participation! #running

Hill Reps in the snow. Should have taken a sledge to come back down!

Just reread your post. You did have to fit it in to a working day, so ignore that part!

Nothing sad about that. It's a great way to discover a new place. You also have more time to run when you don't have to fit it in to a working day.

Haha, no I'm not!

Great run, fantastic scenery. You are bussed out to the wilderness and run back into the city centre along the banks of the loch. Course is a net downhill, but has considerable uphill sections too. Definitely need to prepare on hills to take this on. Well organised too!

Love pyros from a distance, not so much when I'm close to them. I can understand why this mother and son may have been scared if they were not expecting it. If it happened to me though the lesson would be "I won't take the bairn in there again" not "fireworks are evil and should be punished!"

I did exactly that. Rather ironic that I came here to flee the toxicity of the other place and found it within ten seconds of my first post!
