This week I set up a Tumblr so I have somewhere casual to hopefully practice posting extra art and sketches in the future + talk about lore ideas, since FA can feel a bit formal and space here is limited. I'd appreciate anyone wanting to follow me over there as well :)

a digital illustration in the style of a relief print depicting a black cat in a defensive pose holding a torn and tattered transgender pride flag in its mouth as it looks directly towards the viewer. the background is purple with some specks of blue and pink showing through, and behind the cat is a black midground resembling grass or flames. the top right corner features a box with a caption reading "T.D.O.V."

A digital drawing of a white anthro character with large feathered wings flying against a starry sky. A shooting star flies overhead, while below her the sky warms into sunset hues with faint clouds. The gradient of the background (and palette of the entire picture) is taken from the Asexual Spectrum flag.

I drew this for International #Asexuality Day! I've always wanted to draw a scene like this using the colours of the Asexual Spectrum flag, which is the one I personally identify with. :)

The easiest way to support an artist is to repost and share their work.
Likes are just numbers and aren't exactly helpful, especially on a site like this. Reposts are free and won't take any of your time.
As far as I know there is literally no reason for this, it is just an incredibly lucky coincidence that we get to enjoy for free
Photo of a work in progress oil painting featuring a blue glowy feral druid from the Warcraft universe. The big cat is resting on a tree trunk, the background is inspired by one of the game's zones, Ardenweald.
Started this oil painting originally 6 years ago when Shadowlands released. Midnight got me excited to pick it up again. I'm hoping this time I'll be able to finish it. :'>

This is so beautiful, it reminds me of a mosaic! I love the stylisation. Absolutely wonderful work :)
Thank you <3
I was overdue a new pinned post with recent art included in it!
(Apologies for the repost, I wanted to rephrase things so it all fit into one post.)

A digital illustration of a robotic/armoured anthro character, covered in black plating with bright blue accent markings. She is floating in the centre of the image with a pair of starry blue wings, and the background is dark and speckled with faint stars or embers. The character looks isolated as if against a night sky or deep waters, and her wings curl around her almost protectively, their inner side glowing bright blue and illuminating her softly against the dark. She holds her hands close to her chest and gazes upwards with an inscrutable expression that could be either hopeful or sorrowful.
A digital drawing of an anthro character (original species, vaguely similar to a cat/dog/rabbit). The image is symmetrical and the character stands facing the viewer; she is covered in white fur and sports some feathers around her neck and waist that evoke the shape of a tall collar and long coat. Golden armour adorns her body and is matched by four stylised golden wings which fan out and frame her, and she holds a golden sword pointing downwards off-screen. She stands narrow-eyed and resolute, posed as a kind of guardian; her presence seems silent and perhaps stern, but also benevolent. The background is simple and dark, with a winged halo emblem faintly visible behind the character's head.
A monochrome drawing of an anthro character (of an original species, somewhat feline/canine-adjacent). The drawing shows his upper body, fluffy with a white underside and covered in stripes. His arms are crossed over his chest and clasping his shoulders, looking vulnerable, as if he is shielding himself. His head is lowered and his eyes are closed. Surrounding him is a ring of stylised eyes which are wide open, appearing to represent a sort of scrutiny or alertness.
Hello! I'm Thea, and I create fantasy anthro art featuring my OCs, worlds, and stories. I love using stylisation and symbolism, expressing my characters in a way that looks nice while also representing core aspects of themselves. :)
I share my ideas/lore more on FA:

Thank you so much! That means a lot! :D
Both myself and my characters are on the ace spectrum, so it felt fitting to draw one of them for this. It's years ago now, but it was a long time before I realised this about myself and how I'd been inadvertently writing them from my perspective that way for so long. It's long overdue to draw this!
I've never been able to make the deadline to draw anything for special dates before, so I'm really happy I managed to this time! I'm relieved that the result turned out in a way I like so much, too. :)

That's home. That's us.
This image of home just came down from the Artemis II crew.
Taken after their translunar injection burn, there are aurorae at top right and lower left, and zodiacal light at lower right.

โ I see you
Pixel art piece of two spaceships rocketing off of the moon. The colors are soft blue and yellow.
The Artemis II Mission has me somewhat excited for the future again. I've always loved space stuff

It makes me feel childish to see it amounts to wanting to make friends or feel likeable. I screenshot and save every nice comment I've gotten, because each one matters a lot.
Anyway, I do hugely appreciate your support for me. It still means a lot, even if these thoughts can get overwhelming. :')
It's not raw numbers I mean (Likes do nothing consequential) but more things like comments, the actual interactions. And yeah, it's from strangers, but everyone I could make a connection with has to start out as a stranger first.
My issues make the isolation feel like implicit rejection, which I try to reason with, but I still feel it. There's no support for me IRL for this (and no chance of that changing), so the online world is all I have. And art is a lot of who I am, so positive experiences around it are more personal.
I think it's just a build-up of feeling isolated for so many years, and losing touch with the majority of old friends, thus losing most support I used to have. I know positive reinforcement would help heal it; the issue is just how impossible that seems, with how lonely the internet feels now.
Validation might be superficial, but it feels like (when I've gotten a little bit recently) it heals some of the basic wound of feeling invisible, like I barely exist. I don't regret drawing what matters to me - I just wish it felt like it could be a way to help find other people like me, too.
Anyway it's just felt more unbearable lately, so I had to vent about it.
I feel bad for writing about it, but at the same time, I'm just as vulnerable and emotionally messy a human being as everyone else. :')
It leads to wondering what about -me- is wrong, and I often wonder if my enthusiasm about my art, or just something about the way I talk, is too autistic and off-putting to people. That's a lifelong thing, but with art being so personal and part of my identity, it feels worse (and RSD doesn't help).
I feel like drawing "for me" ensures my isolation, but I'd be unhappy in a different way if I changed my art. I try to hold onto hope when I see people say that if you just be yourself and draw what you're passionate about, you will find people who are like you. But it's hard to keep faith in that.
I'm struggling with old rule of "draw for yourself, not anybody else". I draw what matters to me, but I have so little self-esteem that I need validation from other people, which feels like a dirty thing to say. I feel like I'm meant to survive proudly alone somehow, and I feel broken that I can't.

A colored pencil drawing featuring a portrait of Nozdormu from the Warcraft universe in his bronze dragon form. The background is a cloudy sky with blue and pink hues, inspired by the Timeways in-game zone. There's orange colored magic swirling around him.
Work in progress photo of Nozdormu's portrait in his bronze dragon form. The sketch was first drawn digitally and later printed at low opacity on Arches hot-pressed watercolor paper. In this photo, you can see the stage where I used a mechanical pencil to draw over the printed lines and add some extra details.

Work in progress photo of Nozdormu's portrait in his bronze dragon form. In this stage, I started building up the colored pencil layers on top of the watercolor base. The colored pencils I use are Caran d'Ache Luminance.
I also drew a portrait of Nozdormu in a similar style to the Kalecgos one. Included a few photos for those who are curious about the process. There's some extra info in the alt texts!
