On the 2nd of April 1996, the first episode of The Vision of Escaflowne aired. Written by Shoji Kawamori (Macross Creator), the series ran for 26 eps, received a film adaptation, a PS1 game & debuted in SRW Compact 3 (Wonderswan Color) in 2003.
