Just started on my Hitofude cardigan and loving the pattern and color! Once I got past the incredibly awkward crochet chain cast on...now I know why my attempts to try continental knitting are disasters. I can't hold tension on my left index finger 🙄

My apologies, I thought you were a knitter, of course I'm speaking knitter jargon 😳. And I am grateful that you enjoy and appreciate my work! I'm only about 2 - 3 years into it so am always learning. That's why I get so excited

Turns out it's easy. It's just like a regular bind off except before you knit the 2nd stitch to bind off a st, you twist the stitch on the right needle 2x .Then you knit the 2nd st, and bind off the 1st twisted stitch. It's ingenious that an intentionally twisted stitch gives its nice elastic edge

Me too, maybe a trip to Culver's is in order 🍧🍧

Though with 319 sts in this fingering it's gonna take some time 😛

Gotta share...just started my first cable cast off/bind off 😀😀. This cardigan has cable cast ons and a garter stitch button band so makes sense to BO in something very similar. I'd never done it and I'm really loving the effect!

Dreamz cable needle

Sounds a little like the Dreamz one I've been using. You can see the notches, they seem to catch my fine fingering yarn too much, making it challenging to slide to knit the sts on them

I think you're on to something....

You must have better hand coordination with manipulating multiple needles than me!! If it works for you, that's what matters

I got a mix and have been using the j, but I will try the hairpin one too. Up until now I was using Dreamz with the notches. I feel like the notches were catching too much, with this yarn

My cardigan is chugging along. I'm working on the sleeves. I'm taking the opportunity of doing both on one needle, so there's that 🙂 and I am trying out new cable needle. What type of cable needle do you use?
