Watching the olympic snowboarding half pipe, and my daughter and I are like “that’s a nice twirly jump, oh and that’s another nice twirly jump”. We haven’t a clue about, alley-oop, backside drop, switch, goofy stance, 1080, 1260, 1400 double cork ten?? It’s some weird world we just don’t understand.

Those made me chuckle. Very clever.

Thank you, will give that a go.

Thank you. Is it easy to get hold of technical support? I didn’t know who to contact.

Are there others using Bluesky who also use Threads? Twice recently I’ve received the below messages when I try to log on to Threads. Each time I try to “confirm” it tells me there’s a problem. So I’m locked out. Last time Threads came back after a week or so. Anyone else had similar messages?

So sad to see this. Catherine was so good in so many things, but I just loved her in Schitt’s Creek. Her Moira Rose was just wonderfully bonkers. May she Rest In Peace.

As far as I’m aware the gorgeous wolfhounds belong to a group called The Wolfhound Experience or something like that. They definitely do not belong to Siobhán.

I love reading how horrified some Brits are that Irish people swear on Traitors Ireland. Have you never met any Irish people? Swearing here is like a form of punctuation, it is generally not malicious and f*ck is used all the time, by almost everyone. That’s why it’s on so late. #TraitorsIreland

Didn’t think I could love Bruce any more. We’re watching from Ireland, and like Bruce we are horrified. Stay strong Minnesota.

It has lifted my spirits no end to see the huge demonstrations in cities all over the US, many in sub zero temperatures, against the inhumane actions of ICE. I hope the pressure continues until the tyranny ends. #Minnesota #ICE

You’re so right. I was reasonably active, although not really fit, then got cancer, had surgery & then chemo. While going through it all, I became very sedentary & now that I’m thankfully well, I’ve found my back has seized & I’m struggling to do anything. It’s hard to get it back once you lose it.

Agreed 😂😂😂

I feel your pain. Tripe cooked in milk and onions would stink out the house for hours. Vile stuff 🤢

I love Stanley, I really do, & I’m enjoying his food tour of Italy, but please Stanley, please, stop featuring offal. My mum used to cook tripe & the look, smell & thought of it & other offal makes me queasy. I know there’s better food in Italy than intestines etc.

Woo hoo got my CT scan results back today and I’M NOW CANCER FREE. I can finally relax a bit although I’m not sure you ever fully relax once you’ve had cancer. Feeling happy, lucky and blessed. #cancer #lucky

Sitting on my sofa eating a sandwich and drinking tea while watching the European Gymnastics.
Me: “well that wasn’t a very smooth high bar routine”
Also Me: can’t touch my toes without making weird noises.

I love that. I’ve never seen a typewriter with a QWERTZ keyboard before, it’d be a recipe for constant mistakes for me. Hope you get on well with it.

Has anyone else noticed the ubiquitous use of “two times” rather than “twice” in adverts? As in “…lasts two times as long” or “…two times stronger” or “two times the cleaning power”. Do advertisers now think we are all too stupid to understand the word “twice”? #adverts #TV #advertisers #stupid

I love that version, it’s very true to the novel, and beautifully acted, unlike the terrible recent one.

That’s fine by me 😂😂

I’d never heard of feijoas until reading this post. Googled, and now would like to try this exotic fruit. I’ve never seen them for sale in Ireland.

Kate Bush, real or in tribute form, has that effect on people. Her songs are works of art. I’ve always regretted that I turned down the chance to see her live on her first tour (1979 I think). I thought I’d catch her next tour, never thinking it’d be a 40 years wait, & then I couldn’t get tickets. 😢

I went Groucho first too, and once you have that image it’s hard to dislodge. Mind you I’ve just realised I was getting Karl Marx and Stalin mixed up. It’s all those big moustaches 😂

Oh it’s so worth finding. It’s a film that makes me laugh every time I watch it. It’s dark humour, and so clever and so funny. Both he and RDJ are excellent and spark off each other wonderfully. I love it and highly recommend. I want to watch it again now.

My favourite of his films is Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. The chemistry between him and Robert Downey Jr was fantastic and he showed he had real comic chops. I’m sad that he has gone. RIP Val.

I’m Irish and trying to buy as many Irish products as possible, but I also buy British, European, Canadian, Japanese etc & just avoid US products wherever I can. I say this with love and as someone who lived very happily in the US for a few years. But fu*k the orange stain and all he stands for.

Very obviously…a hit man 😂
