Send Help (2026) ★★★
Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice (2026) ★★★
Everything not named Chinatown was flawed but fine.

Don't taco Tuesday this shit. Millions of people spent the day wondering if they would get vaporized, and no one in our government stood up to him. Nothing cutesy about it.
The problem with hoping congressional Republicans have a red line on topics like war is that they're a bunch of rapture freaks who only want to hasten the prophecy.
The Moon: oh wow you guys decided to come back
Artemis II crew: earth’s haunted
it’s still true, so if - like me - you are aging past 38 in the physical realm, here you will stay 38 forever
Jon Solomon has cracked this case wide open.
The White Stripes at The End in Nashville, two days before 9/11.
I love how half the second and entire third acts of Sting's career are built on "unknown Sting songs."
Melvins?
Is Bluesky dying or is the internet just bad now idk who is to say
Update: Now 4
However, Draft Kings was quick to say "Yep, happens a lot. Account's been nuked."
Everyone else is like "How do we know you're you?"
FUCK SPORTS BETTING
Shit, someone is signing up for (so far 3) sports betting sites using one of my email addresses this morning. I don't think they actually have access to my email account, but I changed my password anyway.
Now I gotta chase down customer service at all these places and hopefully kill the accounts.
It's mostly just pleasant and gentle soft rock typical of the time (Olivia Newton-John style), but there's something floaty and special about the title track. Almost proto-Cocteau Twins?
I went down a Susan Jacks rabbit hole a few years ago and ended up in love with her 'Ghosts' album from 1980.

I've had movie-watching burnout for a few weeks, so I'm easing back into a daily routine with comfort stuff.

Reminder to next dem government: take all of SpaceX’s federal contracts and give the money back to NASA.
My dad worked on the Shuttle program, and I was fortunate enough to see two launches from the observation area at KSC.
I don't have the words to explain how it ~feels~ that close to a launch. It's overwhelming in a way nothing else is.
Good luck, Artemis crew.
This site needs a break. Post 3 good things, none of which are the cessation of a negative.
A new pair of crew socks with that specific amount of cushion they'll never have again.
The 1st sip of carbonated soda out of a cold can.
The petrichor smell of rain and fresh cut grass at the same time.
A single vote for Trump in the birthright citizenship case would be as bad as anything the Court has done since Bush v. Gore. This issue has been settled for more than a century. It is the jurisprudential equivalent of asking what 2+2 is. Any answer other than 4, something is deeply, deeply wrong.
Morrissey and Martin Rossiter are both free to fuck off together forever.
It's me, your friendly high school Rush fanatic who has rekindled an affection for them in recent years here to tell you after watching the Juno Awards performance of "Finding My Way" that the new drummer is perfectly fine but 72 year-old Geddy Lee's voice is a fuckin disaster.
Ah, right. Anyway that's always my first association with Curtis Armstrong.
I take it you weren't a Moonlighting viewer?
We Are The Best!
I'm very happy neither of mine do this, but I wake up the same time every day (including weekends), so maybe they're cool with my schedule. If I slept in a half hour, they might freak.
Nashville to Toronto, I suspect. Went there and back three times in three years (no lie, I had a Canadian girlfriend!).
I went through Detroit the first time, but that stretch of 401 between Windsor and Toronto was so barren I opted for the Buffalo route the other two times.
