So it's very presumptive, that the person told 'get help' has not done enough to seek actually-effective mental health help, & puts all the onus on the person potentiallly struggling the most in that scenario, to jump through potentially infinite hoops, just for the commenter's comfort. Rude af.
Plus, there's a lack of empathy there in regards to the american healthcare system, if said in that context. We all understand that not every type of therapy or therapist is the right solution for every mental health problem. But one's location & insurance, here, will not allow enough 'shopping'.
I think the disdain meant to be conveyed is that someone hasnt been tidy with addressing their mental health & is making it the commenter's problem, but that's an unempathetic & antisocial stance in the 1st place, before getting into the hostile & unhelpful way that sentiment is being conveyed.

Today I remember I have a lot of art I barely trot out multiple times, because its beyond the calculable level I can guarantee & price as commissions. Some are for sale as print, & some are commissions that I got on a lucky roll with (can't guarantee, but also can't charge for)

For the last 2 years I have been living in Boston with my roommate. The day after we signed to renew the lease on our shared apartment, they got accepted into Penn State and are now planning to move there. They are already looking for someone to take over our lease. There's no way I will be able to stay in Boston. This leaves me with a few options.
Option 1) My roommate is planning to rent a 2 bedroom apartment in Pennsylvania, and would be fine with me living there with them for a year if l can find a job in the area. After a year I would be expected to move out since they want to live on their own without roommates. If this happens I could most likely get by on my own between a job, patreon supporters and commissions since rent is cheaper. Patreon supporters
Option 2) If I could find a high paying job in Ohio, I could move in with my grandmother in Cleveland. This isn't really ideal since I would have to leave the house on days my dad visits her. Option 3) I'm being heavily pressured to move back in with my mom who would give me 3 months to find a job in Ohio. If I can't find a job within that time frame l'd likely be unhoused once the 3 months are up. Going back to that house would be bad for a number of reasons: less privacy, less ability to talk to people, and it's an extremely abusive environment.
Right now, I'm saving as much money as I can to prepare for this. Any help finding employment in Pennsylvania or Ohio would be greatly appreciated. I would be totally ok living on my own as long as I can support myself financially. I need to save for covering the first/last months rent on a new apartment, moving costs, debt, monthly expenses, etc. I'm really hoping in the next few years I can find stable long term housing instead of having to repeat this song and dance every year. A picture of me & the long term boyfriend of the owner of the lamp (formerly her grandma's), with it half fixed. I look a little facetious in my celebration, because her boyfriend is having to hold down the bottom on-switch for the lower bulb (located night-light style in the 'belly' of the alabaster lamp body) to stay lit. This was followed by the 2nd hardware trip of the day, to get a replacement switch that barely fit, but that was an improvement. The upper lamp is not lit because it worked easy peasy.
The lamp, with both idependently-switched bulbs, right after replacing the bottom push button switch (old and worn out, so it wouldn't stay on) for a twist-on switch. Everything worked! Finally!
The barely-appropriate interior lamp socket we installed, that had too much spare wire under it so it wouldn't set properly, held to the base by electrical tape, and the main line wires going up to the primary bulb. There's enough slack in that primary wiring to lift off the 'lid' the primary bulb is on top of and switch out interior bulbs.
My perspective, sun blasted (main acailable rasping table was outside in full sideways sunlight) and 'drunk' off 4oz of peach belini, half napping on my friend's couch and looking at the lamp lit up with both bulbs. We left it on for a while after finishing it to check for any warming indicating issues with how we put it together.
I helped (re)make a lamp today! This would've been a 2+ day job to rasp everything out for room for proper modern gauge wiring & formal splicing, so... A 7 hour time limit meant tons of electrical tape, instead 🫣🤫

But, once they do a song & dance of 'being hasty with ai adoption', they can restaff those departments with demographics they want, & hiring scrutiny is a lot weaker than firing scrutiny, & puts the burden on unhired people vs. The company & a justice system appointed by recent gov. administration.
So, companies firing/laying off *whole* departments in favor of ai prevents scrutiny of exactly who they lay off, & there's a rush to do so while there's still plausible faith in ai among the manager class of comparable companies, but behind the scenes they dont beleive in it either.
'Major company' is moving what departments can be remote from west coast city to Nashville, ostensibly for tax breaks, but really to kick out gay and trans employees (disgusting laws in tn) & avoid labor org (south US has very shit laws around unions).
