The Age of Unlearning: How Democracies Lost Their Grip on Strategic Time The past several years have produced a quiet but consequential shift in how the United States understands, and fails to understand, time. American

Democracies are not losing to authoritarian systems because they lack resources. They are losing because they have forgotten how to think in decades instead of news cycles.

Putin offers to stop sharing intel with Iran if US cuts off Ukraine The U.S. rejected the Russian proposal, which has nonetheless sparked concerns in Europe amid growing transatlantic tensions.

I thought you said we could take them at their word about not sharing intel with Iran, Witkov… www.politico.eu/article/puti...

It is fascinating that as Trump threatens and insults US allies to try and get them to get him out of this ridiculous strategic bind, he does not have the courage to even ask Putin politely to stop helping Iran kill American soldiers.

Interesting that.

It’s hard to see what a Russian agent would do differently.
Strategic bandwidth gets stretched, Ukraine’s allies are now dealing with a war in the Middle East that Trump claimed he’d already won.

It is rare for German chancellor Merz to so openly criticize the Trump administration. He exactly puts the finger into the wound and correctly states that we have no shortage of oil. Throwing Russian oil into the market will only fill Putin’s pockets, without denting the oil price.

I wouldn't be surprised if him and his cronies wouldn't try to stage something like the 1999 Russian apartment bombings

People Are Still Not Getting Trump Right His Letter Was Not And Is Not The Story

Trump sent out a batsh!t crazy letter yesterday and people once again fell for it. The real story is not the letter, its just another tactic to get what he wants. It shows how he despises Europe and is helping Putin. Yet people comfort themselves by mocking him. open.substack.com/pub/phillips...

What too many people refuse to admit is while they search around frantically for signs that Trump will help Ukraine, what has really happened is that Trump has protected Putin while the Russians have criminally attacked Ukrainian civilian life. This foolishness must stop now.

It should come to no surprise that Iran would want to buy time, seeing how Russia is delaying real consequences by pretending to negotiate…

😐 Residents of Valdai, where Putin's residence is located, did not notice the flight of dozens of UAVs, nor warnings of an attack, and did not hear explosions - Russian opposition media.

Journalists spoke with locals and concluded that the information about a "mass attack" is not confirmed.

Italian Senator Carlo Calenda left Jeffrey Sachs literally speechless and shocked by calling him a liar and someone who repeats Russian propaganda narratives.

I believe this is exactly how public accountability should work - when a liar is called a liar.

People seem remarkably calm about Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant running on emergency generators. One has already failed. This is unprecedented in modern history, a nuclear facility in a warzone, cut off from the grid, relying on backup to prevent catastrophe. 🚨

Lindsey clearly not got the message that Trump and Orban are doing this to ensure Trump never has to sanction Russia.

If Trump really wanted to sanction Putin, he could. It would be no problem. Congress would go for any sanction he wanted. So any time Trump puts a condition on sanctions, it’s just another piece of evidence that he is protecting Putin from sanctions and helping Russia in the war.

Ukraine answered our call for help after the 9/11 attacks and deployed 5,000 soldiers despite not being in NATO.
18 Ukrainian soldiers perished.
Russia paid bounties to the Taliban for every US soldier they killed.
Let's not ever mistake who our friends and enemies are.
