This was different! As a play a little sluggish & sparse. On the other hand great performances and kept my attention. but was was more shocking was how empty the theater was! I felt badly for the actors!

A blonde woman in an ornate black dress raises a dagger above her head outdoors, her expression determined as sunlight filters through the trees behind her.

With all the renewed interest in 1953's Stolen Face thanks to the re-release on Hammer's own 4K disc set, recorded a few years ago, here's a chance to revisit Ben's musings on the subject and its wider cinematic outings from the sublime to the not so much...

I was with an American aunt last month. She was also apologising….
I had to reassure her that it wasn’t her country we hated- but we feared we could turn the same.

The hill I will die on: Martinis should be served with a sidecar, or not at all | Josh Sharp A sip in the glass and the rest in a little carafe, please – and make sure it’s ice-cold, otherwise it’s an absolutely degenerate drink, says comedian Josh Sharp

I have never had a Martini with a Sidecar. In fact I had to google what a Sidecar was…

Kip Williams Dracula is a wonderful staging of the classic story- no doubt but there is a lot to unpack! is it a film? A play? Or an audiobook? It put me very much in mind of Sir Christopher Lees reading of Jekyll & Hyde. If you enjoyed Dracula (and you should!) seek that out!

Trump has lost his mind. His speeches are insane, misspelled ravings about the 2020 election, filled with bad grammar and shotgun caps. If this guy were a mayor in Anytown, USA, he would be told politely but firmly to surrender the gavel and get medical help.
