I've been rewatching old daily show episodes, this is from S05E82 (June 21, 2000).
Look what time hath wrought...
11-4 Mets let’s go!
Holy shit balls
I was just thinking that, like what if there’s another market timer guy in 2025 who is like 200% leveraged right now.
I’ve done both the rooms at Mysstic, they’re so good! If a game had puzzles with similar levels of variety and design quality, it’d be a goty nominee. Not a fair comparison, I know, but they are like valve, in that I loved the puzzles and have been waiting years to play the upcoming third room.
sigh
Yeah they used the image and moved the hsv slider around. I love it lol
I suck at COD and BO6 is the first one in a while that I’ve put more than 10-15 hours into multiplayer. I’m not really playing better, but it’s been a lot of fun.
Remarkably the spirit of drupal lingers on
Sweet! Love this post and aftermath generally 😁
In the personal finance, there’s bogleheads and I have to mention the classic thread of an Econ student who applies a semi risky strategy in an incredibly risky way. Oh and it begins in 2007. www.bogleheads.org/forum/viewto...
In 2020, Blizzard co-founder Mike Morhaime started a new company, Dreamhaven, with other Blizzard veterans. Now they're ready to talk about it. I spoke to Morhaime and two other execs about recreating the Blizzard magic without repeating past mistakes: www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...
Yo fuck Oracle
Last week, I lost my dream job at Game Informer.
Today, I’m excited to announce Viewport, a new documentary series giving you inside looks at video games.

Viewfinder is so slick. Great game to show other people.
I wouldn’t last a year as a maintainer of open source stuff where this problem is so much worse. Like at least I’m being paid.
I take a deep breath and explain how the problem actually is more complex and I’m the only maintainer. Then they try to save face and walk it back but I’m amazed how many people default to speaking like ignorant morons first.
I work on an internal program used at my company. Suppose the program doesn’t support something they want: the nice people send a feature request. The jerks however instead describe the tool as broken garbage, “how hard could it be” etc in a channel with 3000 people in it. Others dogpile on.
Meanwhile I looked at a snickers bar yesterday and now I need gum grafts
Is this plant-based meat grass fed?
I feel like there’s a great foundation for ambitious DLC in the way that the Shivering Isles was a super fun expansion on top of Oblivion.
