She'll worry about THAT later, however. For now, she shoves open the door of the building, revealing... mostly a bunch of crap,

.. Of course, she never actually looked back to see if Metal even followed her, much less took this as a true race.

Rush already– well, *rushes* off! leaving nothing but a purplish-blue blur and trail of sol fire in her wake.

She races to coast before making a sharp right turn towards a cove– nothing a bunch of smashed Nega robots and a lone shack (with a familiar two-tailed insignia..) present.

“ Yknow.. you're jokin' and all, but I actually *do*! Think you can keep up if I take off, yeah? ”

As if she would miss out on an opportunity to test just how fast Metal *really* is.

Of course, this has a purpose. That's for her to know, though! For now.

Before Metal even has time to answer,

She brushes past Metal's slip up, no use attempting to rile up a robot, she thinks to herself.

“ Hah? Yeahh, I guess so, huh! ” Temporal and spatial displacement.. she's heard something like that SOMEWHERE but she can't quite remember...

.. Eh, she's sure it'll come to her.

Forced, really. Even Metal can tell her hearts not really in it.

“ That's the short version. Trust me, you do NOT want the full version. ”

And like that, Rush is back to her prior demeanor, relaxed, yet still on guard. Her eyes never falter from Metal's frame.

She stands up straight, her entire demeanor shifting, her eyes lock onto Metal with an unusual air of gravitas.

“ Princess Seraphina, daughter of Queen Blaze. Heiress of the kingdom of Sol. It is our mantra to help those lost in our waters. ”

... It's very obvious that this is practiced. *Fake*.

A chill runs down Rush's spine as the energy careens towards the Nega Drone. Is it fear? Excitement? Who's to say.

She shrugs, tapping her foot lightly with a sigh. This guy– 'Metal' is a bit different from the stories she's heard....

“ Eugh, fine, fine. Let's play diplomat for a bit, k? ”

Amber eyes practically sparkle in anticipation as a *spark* ignites a thin layer of concentrated fire across Rush's forearms.

Upon realizing she's likely in for a fight, a REAL fight, she retracts it back into discs.

As it dissipates, Rush's true appearance is revealed to Metal, alongside that sickeningly familiar grin across her face.

“ I'm Rush. Rush the Cat! and YOU'RE Metal Sonic, aren'tcha?! ”

Her heart races, a strange sort of excitement building within her. THE Metal Sonic? Seriously?! she couldn't ask for a better challenge.

This suit of hers– it's not meant for combat. It's a rule of cool thing for her, really.

– ?!

Now, THIS is new! At first she thought another creation of Nega arrived on scene, and so soon!

However, with the close proximity Metal has force upon her, she *recognizes* him. Or, at the very least puts two-and-two together from stories.

“ What gave it away? ”

" SIIIIIGH. Maybe send somethin' a little tougher next time, yeah!? " She sighs, pointing at a Egg-shaped drone in the distance. She knows he's watching this. She's expecting a challenge next time!

As stray blasts and spikes whiz past Rush she stops dead in her tracks, turning heel and gripping onto the very ground she stood on-- charging up for one burst of speed-------

**BOOM**

The very sky seems to shake as Rush SHATTERS the sound barrier and barrels through the robot on her tail.

Eggman Nega-- much like her father, he too was trapped in the Sol Dimension many years ago. Biding his time building up resourced under the name Mr. Eggative. For the past couple of years Rush has made it her purpose in life to terrorize him!

" Cmon! Is THAT all you got? SERIOUSLY??? Ya--wn.. "

Here we goooooo!!!!

With nothing but a blue blur and a trail of flame in her wake, Rush crosses Southern island at break-neck pace, leaving a Negative Egg Stalker in the dust!.
