And they can F right off. Canadians are prepared for the long haul necessary to divorce the US. Enough already.

They think that our delegates should pay a fee to begin negotiations for a new CUSMA deal.
F that. ๐Ÿ–•
We should walk away and take our toys with us. You know - all the wood, energy, fertilizer, & minerals they need to function. All of it can be sold to other, more reliable, saner partners.

Fully one third of Americans would seem to disagree. Mind-boggling stupidity at play there, but... he did say that he loves the poorly-educated.

To some?
Waging an illegal war against Iran, murdering school children on day one; the fishermen, of course; the Venezuela thing; threats to annex Canada and Greenland; blockade of essential fuel shipments to Cuba; child sex trafficking pedophile president avoiding prosecution. The list grows daily.

Well, he does ensure the wealthy pay no taxes, right?
And he's had all the time needed to shred the worst of the Epstein files.
Everyone that matters, pedos and the wealthy, are thrilled with his performance. They'll keep him in office for as long as possible, no matter what else he does.

They demonstrate a level of self disrespect that's difficult to fathom - should have walked out when the men lined up in front. I would have.

I like to change up my bike route, just a little, every time I'm out. I avoid major traffic routes, check out gardens, public art, little parks, small neighbourhood shops, whatever.
In the car, you have to stay focused on the movement of vehicles and pedestrians instead.
I prefer the bike.

Those women should have walked off-set as soon as the men lined up in front of them. Have a little self-respect FFS.

That's a no from me, at least not right now. Canada has its own problems to deal with, not the least being our need for economic distance from US. Complications like this we need like a hole in the head.

I've always refused to do those things, or any weekend or evening 'team-building' exercises. If something is important enough to the employer, they will plan it during work hours. Otherwise, "I don't think so" is all I have to say.

Any 'next election' talk is meaningless to Canada. US has nosedived over the edge, and no matter what correction comes next, there will never be a guarantee it won't happen again. Turning away is the only path for us.

Same. No OJ either. Citrus overall is catch as catch can - I check the small ethnic grocers in our area for produce from anywhere else.

"Trying to do..."? Must be an old quote.

US can have the sh*tty Ford EVs. Canada will take the superior BYDs, and pay less for them. ๐Ÿ˜€

Me too. Haven't yet seen the electronic pricing where I shop, but if I do, that store will be dead to me.

First thing every morning... check the news. Not yet. Damn.

We are so fortunate to have elected him! PP would have been a disaster.
I still encounter USians who think that the relationship between our countries will 'bounce back' when F***face is gone. I don't think they understand the sense of betrayal... yet.

I live in BC, and they're here too. The mindset has infected my brother on Vancouver Island - our conversations have become minefields... and far less frequent. I hate it.

I use Uber a lot - many Teslas. I hate them so much. The suspension is the WORST - ride like a tank.
One driver had a little sign inside. "It's old. I didn't know."

Seemed to be working pretty well, until...
He sure has screwed the pooch. I don't see that relationship recovering fully, certainly not in my lifetime. It is unfortunate.

Indeed. People think Canadians are alarmist because we're investing billions to defend ourselves from the US. Not from Russia. Not China. Our pal and ally, the US.
He wants what we have, and we've no illusions about how far he'll go.

Sorry you're going through that! I discovered osteopathy last year, & permanently resolved back issues I've dealt with for decades within 2 months. Osteopaths aren't covered in Canada so I had to pay for my 3 visits. All $500><. Worth every penny! Highly recommend.

A Steinway sounds like heaven! I bought a Yamaha electric piano on sale at Costco. Not exactly what I learned on, but weighted keys help some. It's great for my current level of ability - I practice & do scales with headphones to spare hubs the pain. ๐Ÿ™‰

I bought a piano last fall to reteach myself. Took conservatory lessons as a child, then didn't touch a keyboard for 50 years. Theory comes back quickly, but I've lost my 'little brains'. They'll take time.

Just why? The guy's retired. Never accused of rape. Never implicated in child sex trafficking. Just a decent guy with a new gf attending a concert. You'd think these a-holes could think of something more pertinent to write about.

They shouldn't underestimate Canadians' memory either. There are still a woeful number of them who think that the rift between our countries will just magically dissipate once Trump leaves, one way or another. I don't think so.

Canadians will soon have access to affordable (yet high end) BYD EVs. And it's all thanks to the orange menace in the WH.
