Finally watched Excalibur tonight. Utterly glorious. Maybe the definitive 'vibes' movie because while I understand all of it's faults it looks amazing and has style to burn.

It feels like the whole 80's dark fantasy vibe spawned from this one movie and probably many other pieces of media as well.

Rewatched Children of Men and it astounds me how this film can bring me to tears better than any other piece of media. Extraordinary that it only gets more terrifyingly relevant with each passing year.

You just simply cannot square the fact that you could be dating Blazer or Invisigal, potentially neither, or have something going on with both AND also have Invisigal be a hero or still choose the path of villainy. Add on top of that Sonar and Coupe and you see how quickly this gets messy?

I really hope there is a season 2 of Dispatch but people are going to have to be prepared to be disappointed because you just cannot write a story like this, with gameplay that promises different endings dependent on your choices, and not have several key decisions from the first game set as canon.

Rewatched Into the Spiderverse for the first time since the cinema and I can say that this is the best superhero film. There have been plenty of live action movies that have been great but this tops them all.
