It’s so true that anyone can now create passable PPT’s, but just like with coding, writing and other skills that are AI-ded there is a gap between experts and people that use an AI. Reminds me of WP, where everyone could create passable websites, but they were so similar that they were still avoided

I guess it’ll take a bit of time for this to flesh out. Must say I still prefer having a lesser quantity of dataviz over the cesspit other social media became at some point.

Love this. I do really associate small multiples like this with the US, rather than Europe. Perhaps it is because of the huge size differences between countries - wonder how we could improve country localization and legibility here.. relative size perhaps?

Shouldn’t this decision for complexity be inherently coupled to the goal and the audience that we may aim to reach? Sometimes added difficulty (and more information in reach for those that make the effort) is desired. But certainly often you just want to make something intuitively clear

It has truly become the cesspit of society
