CHUDs is such a great word.

They do use it in the context of "to understand something."
The worst part? I caught myself using it the other day.

I really have come to loathe that word. A certain podcast I appreciate uses it, and it perturbs the ever-loving humanity in me.

Kalimankou Denkou (The Evening Gathering) YouTube video by Bulgarian State Television Female Choir - Topic

The first time I heard her voice, it didn't make sense, but it hooked me. Yanka Rupkina, (Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares, Trio Bulgarka) has passed away.

If you were one of those weird teens who listened to these records, I tip my hat to you.

Agreed.
To me, lazy writers are writers who lack curiosity. That’s the worst service a writer can offer. It also leads readers to accept mediocrity too easily.

It’s the hardest part of writing and editing (including self-editing) is trying to find the balance: who am I writing for? Who am I inviting and how are people brought to the table?

Oftentimes I just remember: sometimes maybe this book just isn’t for me. And that’s ok too.
