When cars wreck, you turn them over and they become terrain. Good excuse to model the mechanical bits underneath! Third-party wheels and crew would help, but for now I'm enjoying the scratch-built extras.

Another #oldhammer genestealer hybrid converted for proportion and pose. This guy sat for years in a box, almost finished. I managed to resist the urge to redo everything and instead just let it be a marker of lessons learned. Onward and upward!

Oh no! If you're not careful, you'll soon be making your own custom jigs.
Seconding cut and pin, at least for skirmish warbands. I also glue halved washers into the bases and fill the rest with epoxy putty leftovers. This makes the base solid so it won't flex and break the glue bond. It's also very stable on uneven terrain.
It's hard to see here because of the surfacer, but extending their necks a bit does wonders. That fleshy texture is easy to sculpt and very forgiving of imperfections.
Reposing a classic: Silhouette more focused on iconic design elements. Actually looking at other models in game. Sneakier. Creepier.
