One of the great pleasures of having Claire Scott @jcscottart.bsky.social working with us at Helioscope has been watching them steadily accumulate pages on their next project, cutting no corners, just doing the hard work every day. This is great news and I can’t wait to see how the book develops!

Well let me assure you that they were really impressive examples of the sort of original brush & ink art you'll receive when I draw a commission for you in the weeks before a comic con, for you to then pick up at my table. talking some seriously sweet art here. gosh i wish you could see it
Can ANYONE see the images in the post above this one?

Gender Queer: The Annotated Edition, a large coffeetable size book, held open in front a background of green leaves so that the full wraparound cover art can be seen
A spread from Gender Queer: The Annotated Edition, a large coffee table size book, held open in front a background of green leaves. The book is so heavy it's rather hard to hold to up with one hand.

I feel like Sun Tzu really missed out on "Invent Pete Hegseth and give him to the enemy"
I have no business writing them, but I’d love to draw comics stories that expand on the worlds of any of these:
-Lodge 49
-Get Millie Black
-Bacigalupi & Buckell’s “Bramble” novellas.
-The Nice Guys
Ayyyyy, so proud of my friend and work bestie @leahsottile.bsky.social for winning the Oregon Book Award for Blazing Eye Sees All!

Honestly the only book of his I don’t want to see adapted is Utopia Avenue. I loved the novel but I’m pretty sure the celebrity cameos would, on film, be excruciating.
I am so ready for a prestige tv adaptation of The Bone Clocks or Slade House.
Thanks! I don't do a lot of fan art, but it's such a great way to spend an hour.
Fan art by Steve Lieber of Wyatt Russell and Brent Jennings as Dud & Ernie in Lodge 49. They're cosplaying as a squire and a king.
Same. If Jim Gavin ever wants to return to those characters and at world, I would love to draw it, but even more, I just want to READ it.
Having never been there, the research would be a real challenge, but it’d be a pleasure to take on. Plus I’d get to draw Tamara Lawrance every day.
Oh hell yeah
