Canada’s new respirator standard (CSA Z94.4-25) is a major step forward in protecting healthcare workers — but it’s facing opposition.

WHN strongly supports this science-based policy and urges others to submit a public comment before the August 19 deadline.

Canada's Climate Fair Share Canada can't take on the climate crisis alone. As one of the world’s top polluters and wealthiest countries, we must do our fair share.

As Canada prepares to host the G7 summit, Prime Minister Carney has an opportunity and responsibility to lead boldly on climate justice, economic transformation, and international solidarity. Let’s make sure he rises to the challenge. Sign the petition: 350.org/canada/fairs...

Danielle Smith's Electoral Reforms Are Straight from the Trump Playbook And it's no accident they were released today.

"The UCP’s reforms reflect... the strategies pioneered by Trump Republicans: leveraging dark money, undermining trust in elections, weaponizing recalls, disenfranchising opponents, suppressing voter turnout, & empowering radical populist movements."

New from me.

Restore Alberta's Coal Mining Ban Now Against the overwhelming will of the people, the Alberta government has quietly lifted the coal moratorium, once again exposing these critical headwaters to exploration and destruction.

We want mountains, not mines!

It’s awful to be harassed for not wanting to get sick or get others sick. Yes, truly lucky to have friends that mask with me.

If someone tried to publish this in a scientific journal, it would not pass peer review. Or if it did, it would later get retracted. At least I would hope…

It’s terrible that this happens. Protecting ourselves from disease shouldn’t cost us our job. I hope you find a workplace that is accepting of your right to safety. I haven’t personally gone through an interview since the pandemic started; hopefully others can share their experiences 💙
