I was ranting so hard about it while I was on holiday that my friend finished her book, grabbed it, and read the whole thing in a couple of afternoons just to see what I was moaning about.

Her verdict was much the same as mine 😂

Oh totally, I'm glad people find something to love about it, but I just couldn't.

Y'know what? I enjoyed that, and so did the kids. Not bad or disappointing at all. Pretty much exactly what it ought to have been tbh

Taking the kids to see the Mario Galaxy movie today... Right now, in fact. I've not heard much good about it, which is a shame because I liked the first one, so I am reining in my expectations.

I shall report back.

It's taken 3 years + 1 month to earn back the £470 I spent on cover, editing, isbns, merch etc. Considering all the factors against me/this book, I'm so freaking proud. It's the *first* book I wrote in English.
