Lime green flowers on stalks spreading like umbrella spokes. Two bright red ladybirds are exploring the flowers.
Smyrnium olusatrum, Alexanders, a member of the carrot family. Introduced by the Romans as a vegetable - they ate most of it, even pickling the flower heads. Later it was grown in monastery gardens. It also has general medicinal properties.
