And yet, my workplace wants me to use LLMs to write my code.

I take a lot of pride in the code that I write. I have had people tell me that it is clear and better than what they've seen from other developers.

I cannot fathom writing code like this because my code has to not only work - it has to be supportable. My code will need to be understood and updated by someone who has no idea who I am. If I don't write good code, I'm just handing them a rotting pile of muck and telling them good luck!

I work in an industry where my code is used millions of times a day. It needs to be industrial strength. The sheer attitude of "I don't know if it's good code" almost causes me physical pain.
