A tube station in London, around 8am on a Sunday. It's a hodge podge of design elements thrown together over years of improvements and neglect. One wall is bare concrete scraped back to its original brutalist shades. There is a poster advertising the latest instalment of a Disney Marvel superhero show rebooted not to save people but, the struggling franchise. A man walks with a few bags, probably been kicked out of the house by a long suffering partner after one too many nights out in the piss. He smells like the whisky shits, an odour which permiates the otherwise musty recirculated air you'd expect a tunnel a few thousand meters below London to reek of. To save yourself tired knees, take the lift up to the surface. This one opens both sides but only if you ask it to specifically. It doesn't smell like piss thankfully, probably due in part to this particular stations early closing time.
