When I had my hysterectomy, I was told recovery would be quick because I was young, fit & otherwise healthy.
They were wrong. The surgeon made an error and despite signs of post op bleeding, discharged me & went on vacation.
When I returned to the ER, I was ignored & gaslit 🧵

Think your vote doesn’t count?! This was a single-vote win on judicial recount. I have never heard of a single vote win before.
Can someone please point me to the portal that will take me to the Kamala timeline? Or the Hillary timeline? Thanks.
I love ads like this. It's more commercial but this Hyundai ad from several years ago always makes me smile.

Hi all. I've never posted here before, but I just wanted to share that my partner, Robert Davis, who's quiet, steady, no lover of the spotlight or politics, is going to run as an independent against Pierre in the by-election! He doesn't think he can win AT ALL but said he's going to spend every night knocking on doors. As a lifelong Alberta boy who's never moved out of his beloved province, he's going to run as an independent anyway if even just to make an attempt at our area (we live in Camrose) having representation. The kids and I are in shock, but he always does what he says, so I guess he's doing it. Now it's to figure out how!. He asked if I think he's crazy, and I said even the attempt is honourable. Full stop. Meanwhile, there are twelve of us between bio and adopted kids, and to quote our 16 year old "Who? You? What? No really? You? Why? Oh, well that's awesome.. anyway Dad, can I borrow the truck?" lol
*** edit to add*** YOU guys are why I feel so proud to be a Canadian. Thank you all for the kind words. No wonder people everywhere remark on our spirit of kindness and helpfulness, humility, intelligence, resilience, and good humour in good times and bad. No matter what happens, he is going to try and at least get people thinking of a different outcome. We will listen to all ideas and thoughts, because this issue is way bigger than just our riding. Robert and I are going to try and cover all costs for running in the byelection, as we know money for everyone is hard to come by. We might have to set up a fund as is being encouraged here. I hope not, because we aren't "money" people. We really don't care about the money, and prefer people to send us ideas and thoughts and help us get the word out instead of money. We might need some for flyers and signs and that kind of thing if we can't cover it or get donations, but not sure on anything else. Thanks everyone 🩷

Bless your friend for helping bring that tyrant down.
Just watching Mark Carney’s speech from the wee hours of this morning: “Virtue is a muscle that grows with its exercise. We become just by doing just acts; brave by doing brave acts; when we are kind, kindness grows. When we seek unity, unity grows. When we are Canadian, Canada grows.” 🥰
Local woman wakes up, is glad we didn’t elect a conservative government but also knows we need a real leftist party in this country now more than ever, makes oatmeal.
Every so often I still like to think about the possum that broke into a bakery and ate so many pastries that it couldn’t move.
A tiny Victorian ceramic marmalade jar containing forget me nots from my garden
For an extra burst dopamine from my photo below look for the 6-petalled forget me not. If you have f-m-n in your garden look closely at the centres of the flowers. If they’re yellow they contain nectar, but when they’ve been pollinated they fade to white-tiny bees know which flowers have a snack in 🐝
