I know the world is on fire. And, yesterday at the library a little boy gleefully put my 2 books in the return slot before working on the big bag of books he and his parent had to return.
Maybe finding the Ands is part of how we get through the fire.
Here are some possible ideas:
-Tell them something you appreciate about them
-Send a gift card for coffee or food
-Deliver flowers or balloons
-Be the one to initiate the next hangout if they're often the one who does that

I'd like to stop being surprised by Christians being cruel, but here we are, with Christian organization Focus on the Family denouncing a proposition to impose higher taxes on higher income earners in order to...checks notes...feed children in schools. Focus does NOT want kids fed in schools.
