Ever been riding with someone new to biking or from out of town and you feel it's your personal responsibility to protect them and keep them safe the entire ride?

Would be really great if our cities felt like this.

An incredible thing has happened in Westminster’s Connaught Village this week - there’s hardly any traffic at all!

This is music to our ears, it’s what we’ve always wanted. Turn up the sound, for the sound of NO MOTOR TRAFFIC! 🎶

It’s because a road is currently closed. - 1/5

London needs a safe, connected cycle network!

Great to see tri-borough momentum:
Haringey, Islington and Hackney cabinet leads + LCC members visited the incomplete C50 route which ends dangerously at Finsbury Park bridge.

Hi @willnorman.co.uk + @sebdance.bsky.social how soon can you start here?

Out in Finsbury Park today with our neighbours @islington-council.bsky.social @rowchampion.bsky.social and Haringey Council’s Cllr Ibrahim Ali and @londoncycling.bsky.social looking at how to work with Transport for London to extend Cycleway C50 so we can ride safely through all of our boroughs.

We had our first HCC in-person meet up of the year, last week, and we recognised everyone’s tireless work for change.

Now the big question: how to get these cycle infrastructure plans – currently “sitting in a drawer in the town hall” – out onto people’s desks, and built on our streets?

In December, we at @haringeycyclists.bsky.social

Ben House and I cycled in to collect them, but we wanted to make sure the appreciation reached the right people.

Jeremy Vine loves him, motorists hate him. Is this man London’s most controversial cyclist? How Cycling Mikey's quest for road safety divided London

Public reporting deters crime. We urge it for burglary, assault, fraud — so why not road danger?? Reporting helps tackle reckless driving and save lives. The Daily Mail mocking this as “villainy” misses the point. Accountability on our roads protects everyone.
