For what it's worth, I think your recent sketch shows a lot of progress where face composition and expressions are concerned, compared to your art from last year or so.
You're right about it being a cycle of pain. And I don't think it ever stops. But you'll soon get to the point where you like your art again... before your brain catches up and starts seeing every mistake you make, again. Art is pain...
Crafting and kitchen day.
Another #Lucemond postcard... not sure what they are saying tbh.
A movie couple who would definitely have a podcast.
I wanna draw horny art but I'm surrounded by kids, so landscape it is...
One more Emma. Slapped more colour on it.
Did some watercolour today. Might do the same one again, tomorrow, but with bolder colours...
There's few things I hate more than saying its ok for kids movies to be slop because kids can engage with emotionally complex media (see Bluey, She-Ra, Steven Universe, ect...) and giving them slop teaches kids to not engage their brain when experiencing art, which teaches them to do so elsewhere.
Spotlight on Omegas
In a society that values alphas and betas, omegas can often be overlooked. This April 1st, we're placing omegas front and center at #AO3. Check our latest news post for details: otw-news.org/7ehh7trb
WAIT AO3 CHANGED IT TO OMEGA TODAY LMAO

Of course, dear Jonathan would mistrust wine from a penal colony... but he would probably enjoy the stew I ended up with. Lots of garlic, too...
Help! Is it legal to use Australian red wine in paprika stew?
The Power of Poetry with things falling apart and anarchy let loose, it was only poetry, he found, which had any use, so he reached for his copy of The Complete Works of Yeats and bludgeoned the President of the United States Brian Bilston
On World Poetry Day, here’s a reminder of the power of poetry and its potential to change the world.
Too bad we're rolling with it. 😼
Apricot tree :D
Emma in gouache...
Every post I see about AI makes me think of this video from @eleanormorton.bsky.social "I don't think AI is useful for that company. Well, you'd be right! But we're doing it anyway." www.youtube.com/shorts/hL9pl...
Someone in this household has been obsessed with (gothic) horror since kindergarten and it's not me. (I'm a happy enabler... though unhappy about the 80€ from MY pocket)
Finally a proper Batman prequel! 😁

Picture of Marjane Satrapi alongside a quote from her. The quote reads: The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same... - Marjane Satrapi, Iranian-French graphic novelist
Thinking about this quote from Persepolis creator Marjane Satrapi again.
Watching Heated Rivalry and remembering how my grandma used to hold her hands in front of her face and peek through her fingers when two guys were kissing on screen in her favourite soap in horror and delight.
I improvised two compasses with magnetised needles on water today. Two, because the first one insisted on pointing roughly north east. The second one was just fine. Maybe physics was a little broken today.
The translation - not in rhyme. It's a textbook for aspiring knights. I suppose the form of rhyming verse is so the young squire can remember it more easily.
