Another tough day for @elleb.bsky.social but she finished the Pacific Coast Championships in 11th overall & was the #5 woman.

She says she feels like even though the results aren't showing it, so many things are clicking that she's on the verge of a major breakthrough. On to the next one in 2 wks!

She & other US Sailors flying solo out there b/c it costs $$$$ to hire the coach, fly them to the regattas, pay for their room & board, & rent a small powerboat for the coach to use during the regatta.

What does the coach do? Provides tows out to the race course (saves 1hr of effort before the racing even begins), provides advice on wind and tactics up at the top of the course over a mile away. Holds food and water so her boat won't be weighed down. Provides minute guidance on body positioning...
