Honestly, I tend to run off and do silly side quests in life so a lot of my friends found it pretty on-brand. But their reactions when I first told them were incredible

every fall we usually have tryouts, and I kind of just stumbled in there to try it out and have fun. Was super surprised when they actually took me

But yeah, it was a secret but different people held that to different standards. My roommates & close friends figured it out pretty early bc you go from being a super fan to just not going to any games at all.

Casual friends and people in my classes were really surprised when I revealed, though

in my time there was usually 2-4 of us any given year. Duke just had way too many events and basketball/football games for 1 or even 2 people to manage, so 3-4 was the sweet spot to make sure it wasn’t completely dominating our lives

I’ve actually met a few alums who were also the blue devil! A lot of people were surprised with my reveal bc I was a *lady* devil, but it makes two truths and a lie a lot of fun now lol
