How dare the leader of the 6th largest economy in the world stay in a £200 a night hotel.
Honestly this crabs in a bucket mindset is ridiculous.

Receipt for a cafe showing one bacon sandwich, and one flat white. There is a discount line labelled "Lycra (10%)"
My kind of cafe. 10% off if you're in cycling kit.

Litelok X1 D lock with some superficial scratches
And here's the minimal damage they were able in inflict on the Litelok X1
All credit to the police for coming quickly for a bike theft.
And a reminder to always check your locking strategy... and consider a high quality tracker.
Police show up two minutes later (all credit to them).
They seize all the tools in the van, do some further investigation on the van's owner / status, and return my bike.
Back home with my GSD 1 hour after it was stolen!
Looking down the alleyway: a van, three guys, and my bike.
The guys are trying, and failing, to cut the Litelok X1.
I call the police.
The guys get spooked and walk off, briskly, leaving the van, and bike.
Got dressed, jumped in the car and started following the GPS trace.
The bike had a Litelok X1 through the back wheel and there was no sign of it. The speed of the GPS trace suggested it had been loaded into the back of a van.
I ended up following it to the foot of an alleyway 2 miles away.
Photo of a cut chain lock through a ground anchor.
I peer out of the window: the chain lock through our ground anchor has been cut, and the bike gone.

At 2:14 I got woken up by a call on my mobile: a contact saved as "Tern GSD Alarm."
It's the Monimoto 9 silent alarm / GPS tracker we have stashed on the bike.

So the moment finally came... after one year of ownership, someone stole our Tern GSD.
But we got it back in an hour.
