Absolutely insane
"Why don't Americans—" we do. That's why many of my friends are in prison or dead.
Queer people have a right to be upset at this decision because it's not only another attack by the far right, rubber-stamp court, but a failure of the so-called liberal justices to resist.
Should describe SC decisions in the form of context sandwiches: This decision is stupid, here's what they say in the decision, I repeat this decision is stupid for these reasons.
This post is better.
The other post got a pile-on because (I believe) he was quoting the Supreme Court verbatim without providing context.
Pile-on isn't fair, but reiterating this court's decisions in a vacuum doesn't help either. Sounds like you endorse the stupid logic.
If they're refusing to release it, then you know the conclusions are explosive, and we voters and small donors have the right to know what the conclusions are.
Medhi has said tucker is a fascist, and that his rhetoric is dangerous. What do you want from him?
Medhi said repeatedly that he thinks tucker is revolting (which is not conveyed by the biased selection of screenshots), and he has the right to say that what tucker said is extraordinary given corporate media's unshakeable credulity for Israel hawks.
It's no vice to say that a broken clock is right twice a day, and Mehdi is warning us that a bad actor is capturing an audience by saying things that are obvious to most people, but are rejected by the establishment dems and trumpers.
Mehdi was warning us about tucker, not mindlessly boosting him.
Which begs the question: how do you address threats without "giving them attention"?
Enlighten me.
Then you would know that everything the dems were doing were wrong, and you would be yelling bloody murder for them to change.
That would entail not ignoring trump, who they have failed to put in prison.
If you knew back in 2021 that trump would stage an electoral comeback, despite the Jan. 6 insurrection, what would you do differently than what bidenworld did?
Does the party respect the voters or not?
Democrats have tried ignoring trumpism after the Jan. 6 insurrection.
How did that turn out for them?
It remains the same that tucker is out there saying his message while TNC and the rest of the liberal commentators are missing in actionーfor reasons of their own choosing or not.
The truth is that no country has the inherent "right" to exist, and tucker challenged the narrative by reiterating that fact.
And like it or not, tucker is gaining an audience on his anti-Greater Israel message, and if you cede that space to tucker, you're losing.
Perhaps, and maybe we should ask why he chose to limit his media appearances.
But for one reason or another, TNC is not out there challenging the mainstream narrative on Israel and the genocide.
Chris Sosa's tweet: Tucker Carlson is one of the most talented figures in all political media. Like early Trump, he makes easy fools of his critics by telling truths they won't. And also like Trump, he is a dangerous con man. Democrats can find a moral center fast or get ready for his inauguration.
Mehdi Hasan's quote tweet of Sosa: Agree - the number of leftists and Muslims and just apolitical folks I meet who now love Carlson and say they'd be willing to vote for him for president is off the charts. Democrats and liberals and 'progressives against Palestine' really left a lane wide open for him, as they did for Trump in 2016 and again in 2024.
Sigh... let's try this again, so that you can get the full context:
“The Phoenix Police Department will not discipline any officers for their roles in a massive city scandal where officials invented a fake gang and then falsely charged protesters as members back in 2020”
Mehdi was saying tucker is a dangerous con artist.
Read the cited posts again.
And now you don't see TNC on CBS or any other mainstream news outlets anymore, unless its a podcast with Ezra.
Medhi is calling tucker a dangerous con man.
What is it do you find so objectionable about it?
Read the rest of the post you're citing: Chris Sosa also calls tucker a dangerous con man whom we should watch out for.
It's not brain poison to acknowledge that tucker is talented enough to basically restore his audience after being fired from Fox News.
Underselling him is dangerous.
This is what happens when an antiwar voice given a platform speaks freely under a democratic administration

Yes, I doubt the editor of the Economist speaks to left-wing podcasters.
So, um... this is bad. Really bad. I looked at the letters that were translated by the AI, and the very first one I found was almost entirely hallucination. Thread:
Anyone who claims that megadonors have little effect on electoral politics is either a liar or a fool.
Too bad the DNC won't release the autopsy so we can get a better idea of what happened in 2024.
I won't blame him if he can't respond to every reply.
