Basically, for $10, everyone can get the digital collection of TEN YEARS OF SWORD & KETTLE PRESS; for $30, U.S. residents can get the ebook AND a softcover version.
Which is to say....if you missed your earlier chance to read LET ME TELL YOU OF THAT GARDEN, well, now you have another chance!

A contact form reads: Subject: Checking Authenticity Body of message Hi there Beth. I have been contacted by someone who is using the email, [email blacked out], and using you name and one of your novels 'Feast of the Starving Stone: The Chef’s Five' to engage with me as a fellow author - if it is you then great, if it is not, as i suspect, then this is a fake approach. I just wanted to be sure. thanks. [signed name blacked out] You're a real person, right? No, I'm a bot. Please don't include existential questions in a contact form. Yes.
I just found out that an AI scammer is impersonating me in their spam campaign. I am LIVID.
Please, please share this post. Warn people. I’m horrified that someone might be ripped off in my name.
No one is safe from being impersonated like this.

Important thread showing where repatriation research can lead & how important it is to communities. ♥️ thanks for sharing this @artcrimeprof.bsky.social - I’m sniffling over my coffee now ♥️
this weekend only.
I may attempt rhubarb again in a different location. But that’ll depend on how I’m feeling later this summer.
Sounds delicious!!!!
One of the things I love most about Zohran’s rise to power is that it shows so clearly how we could have a better democracy—one that actually serves us instead of just the rich—if the left decides collectively to take electoralism and government seriously. It’s ours for the taking if we want it.
Here’s hoping! Wishing you luck.
My mom can neglect rhubarb and it grows like blazes for her. Our soil is either too wet or too SOMETHING because it’s just died on us when we’ve tried it. It’s a pity because I ADORE rhubarb.
We all deserve more ease. That's really it.
Congrats!!!!

Oh. Oh no. Nobody wants this.
If you're in a place where you can help me make up for the loss of a (not-insignificant) sponsorship pledge, I'd be profoundly grateful. I have bills I need to pay, like rent & utilities.

We want you to be SAFE and to have the healing time you need. But we also very much want to see you again when doing so won’t be detrimental to your health. You are a delight!! I can’t wait to get to run into you in the non-digital world!!

Study links long COVID in kids to worse grades, attention span, and social life.

I will allow that lie flat makes sense for (often super expensive) knits or (many) hand-knit items.
The former will not survive me. The latter get washed once a season or when they’re spilled on too obviously to be ignored.
That is not a shirt, it’s a part time job.
If a garment can’t stand — at the most precious — machine wash cold, hang dry? Well, it’s not gonna survive me.
Even clothes I MAKE are machine wash/dry, unless they’re something you wash (at most) seasonally, like a hand knit lace shawl.
Definitely a conversation killer, because most people don’t know how to handle that kind of info.
Agreeing on it being also destigmatizing in the best way possible.
Not TMI unless you start detailing (idk) GI side effects of chemo in body-horror levels of detail.

Part two of my conversation with @tanuja.bsky.social is now live. We talk about conflict resolution, why some common approaches leave people feeling let down, how to make better apologies, how to receive feedback, and the relational skills our communities need to survive these times.
Dare you to read short story this if you haven't.
"The Dare was to demolish Wilbur Hastert’s house and car, and to strip him naked, all before he left the courthouse. What courthouse? Who was Wilbur Hastert? It was done before the internet knew the answers."
