"Thank you for your thoughtful questions and for reading. We only get to write books because you read them; sharing the joy of reading is the best thing about what I do."

Q: Do you have pets?

Tae Keller: Yes, I have a dog named Butter. She’s 3 years old, from a shelter, and very sweet. She loves cuddling by my feet, and her name was inspired by the BTS song β€œButter.”

Q: Are there any challenges you have faced as an author?

Tae Keller: Yes, definitely. Writer’s block can be really hard, like when you’re trying to figure out what comes next and can’t. It can feel scary. What helps me is taking breaks, reading, and leaning on supportive friends and family.
