Even people who like the Scary Movie series don't like Scary Movie 4.

$22 for a child's ticket is barbaric.
Glad it all worked out fine!
Way to turn a negative experience into something positive. They're just jealous they're not as fat as you. That being said, you could always be bigger, so eat up fatso. ๐ฐ
It's definitely an impressive look, but I worry about the impact of doing it long term. Fat folks who wear their pants at their natural waist instead of their hips tend to get a large belly crease. Why ruin something so perfect looking?
Agreed on both. The BTS portions added few narrative elements 1 couldn't live w/o. They also could've been done better: have a studio camera or boom mic recording in standby mode w/ the actors barely in shot, add in an audience members' still photo shots or Super 8 footage. It'd feel more authentic.
Venting on those points aside, I do think this was a very good movie born from a really solid idea. Certainly excellent by indie standards and extremely entertaining. Give me this over ancient franchises with increasingly high sequel numbers attached to them any day!
That was my problem with it, honestly. Maybe the filmmakers were assuming the modern viewing audience wouldn't know too much about cameras, but come on. Even if you didn't realize how intrusive and cumbersome 70s camera were, a small number must be wondering why the conversations were being recorded
The use of AI on the 3 interstitial cards was stupid & made a lot of pointless controversy but I don't count that as the "art direction." The sets, hair, make up, costuming, & overall color palette were genuinely well done & created a cohesive, authentic visual style. That work should be recognized.
True. I wish it were a proof of concept that led to a larger production. Bear in mind, it didn't need to be THAT much larger. The cast did solid work & the crew really captured the vibe of the era. It's just the ending w/ lightning effects out of VEGAS Pro & a Hell sequence that drags on too long.
I'll say it: for the HUGE hype I heard surrounding this film, it didn't live up to expectations. Good, but not great w/ the limits of indie film production hampering a solid idea. It's got superb art direction & good acting, but a framing device it doesn't commit to & an ending spoiled by cheap SFX.
It's the face for me. ๐
Swelling Quest was just plain amazing. I'm still trying to unlock all the secrets/find all the endings but the fact it stays in my head long after I finish just speaks to what an astounding job you did. It's really apparent you're passionate about this genre. That enthusiasm is always appreciated!
Ummm, you should be. Goddamn!
Where do I get my ticket? ๐คฉ๐๏ธ
They'll see the results when your corporate casual attire turns into a corpulent catastrophe.
I got Ending 18, the "Expansive Partnership" ending! Thanks for recommending this. It was really cool!
Rolls upon rolls upon rolls...
Huge thighs, gargantuan gut, flabby arms, just all a-round massive!!
This film deserves to be as well known & beloved as Clue (1985). It's just as star-studded, just as silly (maybe even more so), but those problematic elements are why you're just not gonna to see Murder By Death re-aired on TV all the time like Clue.
The Cheap Detective is a pretty great film too.
I feel like I've lucked out with Jacksepticeye and Markiplier... and now I'm really hoping I didn't just jinx it with that.
It's why it's one of the top 3 Film Noirs, right up there with Maltese Falcon and Sunset Boulevard.

Probably in public in a narrow, restrictive space.
That's a stylish pig...
Your fans have good taste... ๐ท
This is a good look for you, and better yet, I'm picturing you hopping with a pronounced spring sound effect.
Lol, someone grew up on Channel Awesome content, haha.
Is his tail growing out first before a surge of fat kicks in or does is his underwear being snapped trigger him to get fatter? Either way, it's a legitimately impressive animation!
