What's crazy is he was supposed to be looking at a CG character right in front of him. In the original footage they even gave him an eyeline reference and he STILL couldn't do it!

this is one of those weird, fucking random things that both trump admins produce. why is melania trump talking about robots? what does this have to do with basically anything? what is this even accomplishing? nobody knows, it’s already gone to the ether

The 92NY canceled my appearance in late October 2023 after I signed a ceasefire letter and reiterated my support for BDS.

But they're ok with having this gentleman, Ilya Shapiro, who seems to like genocide and is vocal about it.

Trump’s top men afraid to step out of line wearing his favourite dress shoes
George Grylls - Washington

President Trump and members of his top team were wearing Florsheims at Davos in January.

Pairing an oversized power suit with a long red tie, President Trump is famous for exporting the look of a 1980s Wall Street trader to the White House. Often he wears a baseball cap too.

Now, facing murmurings of discontent in the Maga movement over his appetite for foreign wars, the spiralling cost of oil and a potentially damaging set of midterms later this year, Trump has cobbled together a sartorial solution to encourage Republican unity: a $145 pair of dress shoes.

The president is giving pairs from his favourite brand to members of his administration, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Marco Rubio, the secretary of state, JD Vance, the vice-president and Pete Hegseth, the secretary of war, have all received a pair of Florsheim shoes in recent months. Others presented with the brand’s classic lace-ups include the Fox News host Sean Hannity, the senator Lindsey Graham and the Maga celebrity Tucker Carlson.

Trump likes to open cabinet meetings with a check-up on how people are enjoying the “incredible” footwear. “Did you get the shoes?” he asks.

Nobody has ever been so lyrically yet thoroughly excoriated as in this piece. And yet, few people have ever deserved such a complete dismantling as the Prince formerly known as Andrew

If you’re roughly my age, it’s wild to reflect on the optimism for the future Americans felt when Obama was elected — young Americans spontaneously took to the streets to celebrate! — and contrast with what we face today. The falloff over the past 18 years is hard to process.

We had elections during the Civil War.

Trump has no mechanism to delay, postpone, or suspend elections—legally or otherwise.

Accountability is coming.

And there's nothing that can be done to stop it.

After sexual violence, it's victims who get punished the most. Victims who lose their jobs and have to leave their industries. Victims who lose their friends and support systems. Victims who lose their health and sanity. Perpetrators might lie low, sometimes, before being handed it all back.

The whole “false allegations ruin lives” narrative has always upset me so much because it is sexual violence that ruins far more lives, but people care far more about the 2 to 5 percent of false accusations than we do about the 1 in 4 women and the 1 in 6 children who experience sexual violence.

How Kansas Republicans weaponized the law to target 300 trans driver's license holders SB 244 was put into effect virtually overnight, causing chaos, panic and fear in the trans community.

New — I spoke to eight trans people in Kansas about the new state law that invalidated their driver’s licenses overnight, what’s it’s like to live there right now, plus details of two DMV emails exclusively obtained by The Handbasket that shed light on the law’s chaotic and cruel rollout:

I was born in an Iranian prison. My parents were held in their jails. My uncles lie in their mass graves.
Nothing you can tell me about the crimes of the Iranian regime that I haven't lived in blood and bone.
That doesn't mean I want my people bombed, maimed, killed, their homes in ruins.
If your vision of liberation comes only through the destruction of innocent lives, then it's not freedom you're after.

I am pro Iranian people. I stand with them against their own government’s repression AND against the imperial violence in the form of bombs dropped from the sky from Israel & the US who have already killed hundreds.

I support neither imperialism or dictatorship.

Her husband wanted to use ChatGPT to create sustainable housing. Then it took over his life. Kate Fox says Joe Ceccanti was the ‘most hopeful person’ before he started spending 12 hours a day with a chatbot

“It’s difficult to understand the scale of the problem, but OpenAI itself estimates that more than a million people every week show suicidal intent when chatting with ChatGPT.”

Netflix ditches deal for Warner Bros. Discovery after Paramount’s offer is deemed superior Netflix is ditching a deal to buy Warner Bros. Discovery's studio and streaming assets after the WBD board deemed a revised bid by Paramount to be superior.

This really feels like an Orban/Erdogan situation in which the aspiring dictator is making sure his friendly oligarchs control as much media as possible
