I didn’t know they’d put the story in a book! Thanks for the comment and thanks for letting me know ☺️

Pearl Forrester and Tom Servo—costumes at Costume Con 42
This weekend was Costume Con (which was awesome), and we entered as Pearl and Tom Servo from MST3K in The Land of the Giants. Tom was 9-feet tall!

If you see something unusual, say something unusual!
Since the monster is essentially Frankenstein’s child, wouldn’t his name _also_ be Frankenstein? Or at least Frankenstein, Jr.?
Chafing?
Cover for the Particular Passages--Decked Halls Anthology
I wrote an XMas story! It just came out in www.amazon.com/dp/1628690658! It may not be the best Xmas story, but it likely has the most tentacles.
No, it's not a horror story--it's wholesome and full of holiday spirit and presents and stomach acid & stuff. I'm not sure I'm selling it properly...
My knee shoved between the seats at Some Like it Hot.
I love live theatre, particularly musicals, but I am now really looking forward to a cyberpunk future where I can get retractable legs.
(6’5”, at Some Like it Hot)
That’s a bummer. The great thing about the films is the relationship between Nick and Nora (and Asta the dog :-). Not sure if it’s as good in the book (years since I read it, though).
Just finished The Spare Man by @maryrobinette.bsky.social, which might be described as a Sci-Fi homage to The Thin Man (but a seriously better mystery and actual 3-dimensional characters). Highly recommend! But had to go back and watch The Thin Man after. Had forgotten how drunk Powell plays Nick!
The horror. The horror.
Daylight Saving Time is increasingly hard to notice when my digital devices are like, "What? Nothing happened. We know what time it is."
And my stove is left blinking and screaming, "IT HAPPENED! TIME SHIFTED UNNATURALLY! THEY'RE ALL LYING! ONLY I KNOW! ONLY I REMEMBER!"
A few years ago I was transferring some old 8mm film from the 70s and couldn’t figure out how I was on it as an adult. It was my mother!
I just put up a blog post on how I feel about my horror of what is going on in Gaza right now, both as a (not very good) Jew, and as a human being.
Of all the peoples who should understand how wrong it is to dehumanize an entire population, it feels like we should.

If you ask, though, they’ll give you a lollipop after the shot! (At least they did for me :-).
An intercom/entryphone which looks a bit like if Spongebob Squarepants had been converted into a Cyberman.
Sorry to report that the Cybermen got Spongebob :(
I now have all of (English) Wikipedia on my phone (thanks to Kiwix). This is important in case I accidentally get sucked back in time.
Now, I just need to figure out how to always be carrying a solar charger or crank charger I can hook up to a water wheel…
So jealous—live in the States now, and Americans don’t know how to make chips.
Dear The Future:
We did not ask for wifi in our appliances. We do not need it. It does not improve our lives. We do not want to have to connect to apps and passwords before we can just turn on our goddamned new ovens. We want buttons and knobs and things that work. Please oblige.
Love,
Us.
We only tell kids about the tooth fairy to distract from knowledge of the fairies who accept larger bones for greater rewards
If it helps, I read it the same way as you!
This is the longer version of the thing I was trying to say, which still is by no means everything I have to say in any direction. Do not try to infer or assume based on what I haven't said. You can ask me questions if you'd like to know. I will answer if I have the energy and am in the mood.
I still vividly remember the first time I heard the plan to go after Iraq “because of 9/11”—I literally got dizzy and had to lean on the wall for several seconds. I think my brain just rebelled at the craziness of it. (And crypto was always bullshit :-).
When dealing with business execs, they always attribute any success to their own brilliance and never to just getting lucky. My company did well because we worked hard, had a good product, and also “cleverly”happened to release just when our competitors all had disastrous releases. Luck is huge!
Okay, n00b question. When I open the Bluesky app, it always takes me to the most recent post in my feed. This seems weird to me. Is the assumption that you just read backwards or that you scroll way down to find where you were? Or am I just missing something?
