I had a lovely "weekend" reading some old-new books.

Mostly re-reads of titles I read over 10 years ago and re-obtained, because I'm trying to get back into the still ongoing series, and fall back in love with my all time favorite author.

"Scarletti Curse" and "Dark Symphony" by Christine Feehan

I really recommend reading the second! Just like with the first tho, all the trigger warnings. Lol.

I actually found out there's a few more she wrote that go into other characters too, and I can't wait to get my hands on those!

And just like that, steamrolled through "Hunting Adeline" (649 pages)

I think I found my new favorite author.

Perfect blend of spookiness and thriller, and sooooo much spice. I don't even think spice is a strong enough word. It's more like one of those hot sauces you have to sign a waiver for. 📚

Picked up a "blind date with a book" from the bookstore earlier this week, was actually a twofer.

OMG, was it a great pick! It wouldn't let me go. Just now finished book one. 583 pages.

Gonna start on the 2nd tomorrow.

I have a shift tomorrow at 3pm and all my uniforms are soaked in Shout.

It worked the first time earlier this week, and the second time I went in to change the load over, but stopped just before I had to get them from the dryer. They said someone was there working on the keypad.

Ofc as soon as I actually have money to put towards laundry at the apt complex laundry room (which uses an app to access the machines) the key pad just stops working all together. 😒

I keep doing that, but they keep coming right back. It's SO frustrating 😩

Been a while since I've posted. Mostly been working and getting used to my new late night work schedule.

But last night, in the wee hours of the morning as I was seeing my partner off to his shift, the front door popped open while he was walking down the stairs.

This place be haunted 😳

It's finally starting to feel like home.

The kitchen is more or less put together, we have the dining room table set up and cleared off, the living room is set up (although we still need to mount the tv), and the bedroom is looking how we want.

I'm also on the roster at a temp-to-perm agency. 🤘

My partner is super happy about the snow. And it was a lil crazy to look outside and not see the road. Not a single tire track.

Someone up in STL would have already done tried it.

Our bathroom faucet stopped putting out cold water, despite us leaving all the faucets on a steady stream. Put in a maintenance request and wouldn't you know it, they were here within the hour.
