Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil was killed today in a targeted Israeli strike. The IDF fired live rounds and stun grenades at the Red Cross ambulances trying to reach her. She is the 4th journalist killed by Israel while in the field since 2 March.

Unsurprisingly had a great time. There were 100+ of us, everyone was really nice, we basically shut down all the roads we cycled down, it was great. And I made a pal and we cycled home together talking about video games. Love bikes

I'm going for a ride with a new cycling group tonight where I don't know anyone and I'm nerviss. I've not had good luck with cycling groups in the past, having tried to join one that turned out to be a racing group, which I only discovered on my first ride with them. I was the only one in jeans

First truly beautiful weekend of the year in Glasgow and we spent all of it indoors deep cleaning the flat. Boring, isn't it? Staying in cleaning the flat with your life? Not for me, I like it

tend to judge we don't know, I'll here just make a preliminary observation as to what might be going wrong. Part of the problem with these "hypotheses" is that they don't give us much of an idea of how I come to have the false belief they assign to me. Hypotheses are supposed to explain; skeptical hypotheses should explain how we might come to believe something despite its being false. The first of these hypotheses simply stipulates that I'm wrong about my having hands, without indicating how I came to be so sadly mistaken. The second adds to the first that I'm a dog, which adds little to our understanding of how my mistake about having hands came about. By contrast, when we encounter effective skeptical hypoth-

The Belsie is 5 years old today! We adopted her during one of the worst times in both of our lives and she slowly made everything good again. You are the best cat in the world and we love you, Belsie ❤️

Now I have exhausted all the very good journals and gotta send it to the kind of good journals. This should probably be kind of heartening because it's the closest I've got to the top journals but really it feels like I am never going to be quite good enough for it, and that is making me sad

I've had what I think is my best paper get kind of close to publication in two good journals: rejection from PPR with one reviewer asking for R&R and the other saying to take a long walk off a short pier, then rejection from Nous with the reviewer saying "this is good but not good enough for Nous"
