The real trap here is that the Republicans have made defending civil rights seem like a frivolous thing and a whole lot of liberals are falling in line. Even if it was a culture war, so what? This would be a war worth fighting. What are we even doing here, people? Get it together.
PriestyPastor here and I struggle with it mightily. My Lutheran roots just don't hear grace... but the language is pretty. Pretty is as pretty does though, eh?
Not a fan of the Bachelor due to brazen competition that is plain ugly. Thought I would give the Golden Bachelor a try hoping for grace and elegance.... oh my am I shocked. Age doesn't change women in competition!

This is why I do a whole class session on the evolution of monotheism in the HB, giving them passages to ID as mono, heno and polytheistic pretty early on (in my Intro to Interpreting the HB in Context).
