True… but one of the most frequently potholed roads round here isn’t on a bus route and has no noticeable HGV traffic (I work from home and live the the junction, HGVs are a note worthy occurrence 😂) it is however on the school run route.

I get the trucks due to the obvious benefit of tax breaks on them for tradespeople, but SUVs are a feedback loop where cars got bigger so people (mostly parents) felt the need for a bigger car… then companies saw the sales and went all in on that style.

Personally, as someone from a more engineering and analytical mind set I have no idea how affordable those things are as I have no idea what the cost of doing them is vs the cost of not doing them.
