Saying "this art disgustes me and I don't want to see it/support it" its valid, saying "you should stop creating this pervert stuff, it's horrible" doesn't help victims, it makes you an asshole

All art has the right to exist, and you as an individual have the right to criticize it. These things are not mutually exclusive

I don't think some of y'all understand how dangerous it can be to have to rehearse this over and over agaim. Some people use the anonymity of fiction to explore trauma, to explore fetishes they know can be harmful irl, some just like the freedom of creating, all of these are valid

Trying to make a distinction from "this is art the artist makes to deal with trauma" and "this is the artist's very clear fetish" puts the privacy of real life victims at risk. I shouldn't have to give you a laundry list of all my triggers and traumas for you to decide my art has the right to exist
