Do we really want aggro decks improved? Viserai and DashIO can already close out games sometimes in 3-4 turns especially in aggro mirrors. Do you really want to give them the threat density where they don’t need particular tech?

DIO is one of the most challenging decks FAB can offer. The number of decision points is crazy. The whole time I was like “break chest??”, but I know from experience he was hedging against really bad draw sequences and saving the chest for a potential easy MaxV or something on a later turn.

Also consider that he’s playing against a deck that took a strategy of gain life do nothing for a few turns. Off relevant disruption or make the choices harder and perhaps that turn never even happens.

Okay let’s be fair: he didn’t do this in “one turn”. There is a small bit of setup and hand crafting he had to do to get there. The monocles and handcrafting he did is what made it work. Personally I didn’t see any extreme misplays. He might have been suboptimal, but there’s so many decision points

The Sam Sutherland vs Matt Rogers game (Dio vs Enigma) was incredible. It’s hard to tell which card is more busted: Spark of a Genius or High Octane? As someone who’s been curating DIO since day 1 I am both excited and sad that she is definitely getting some adjustment this BnR. #fabtcg
