How do I even describe this. It's like, a lizard/skink type of thing with a long, sausagelike head, a fat tail, yellow adornments including a lightning bolt on its forehead, a mario-y turtle shell on its back and wings on that shell.

there's always gonna be a give and take with any tool, it's just a matter of like... if you're looking into gamedev, don't go for roblox first, learn the workflow of smth else and u'll be way better off. Some will miss tools of others but roblox has way too much baggage to trust imo

I mean I think fanart in general is fine, it's just disheartening to see people putting their own original ideas in the hands of massive gigacorps before they're even old enough to understand that. Give these kids a game engine and they'll be set up forever

absolutely!! godot's also pretty easy to learn from my perspective, as a total non-coder who was still able to get her bearings.

If games are a product, if you want this to be your job, then make sure you can actually sell them!! Get on steam, on itch, on whatever, make your bank!!

Maybe an unprompted opinion but like so many of these games would be so much better if they had their own program to live on. Make art for yourself, not for multibillion dollar corporations!!

So many creatives waste their resources making games on roblox when standalone gamedev is more accessible now than ever. Learn godot, make something you can sell for better money, and bonus: you won't need to be kicking it with the rogues gallery of pedophiles roblox keeps around
