Just finished. I loved it so much more than Caught Up. Can't wait until I can make it through the 17 people ahead of me to do the audiobook in a few months.

I didn't end on a 5 or a 10 this month which may make me rock on the corner some. But I promised myself I wouldn't stress this year and panic read at the end of the month. I'm proud I stuck with it. π¬

In one of my many wake ups last night my copy came off hold on Libby about 2am (shout out to the person before me for powering through!). I had to make myself go back to sleep and not start it right away. It's on today's agenda though.
I loved this one!
Ossoff: "The WH put out a video depicting this war as a video game. When service members are returning in flag-draped coffins, & even more have lost limbs or suffered brain injuries or are fighting for their lives, this WH treats war like a game. It's a disgrace. And it speaks to a moral rot."
Love this series!
30 books in February. 70 for the year.
Started a book club with some women from work. We did His & Hers which I'd had on my TBR but probably would never have read without them. I enjoyed it and in typical fashion, the book was better than the show.

Democracy is dying in America.
ICE is a murderous secret police force. Weβre about to bomb Iran for Israel. Your kids are shot at in school daily, and pedophiles run our government. Thereβs no healthcare, and your food is poisonous.
We need real leaders - not career politicians.
Spent about 5 hours today trying to take someone's overly complicated spreadsheet, make it more streamlined, and then change the data for my effort.......A few mins before I was off, I finally figured it all out. Then I ran out of the office so fast as to not accidentally mess something up.

Clock's a-tickin' on this happiness...
It has to be so time consuming. Definitely a labor of love to make!
"And then he lifted the knife behind her summoning the courage to swing his arm down. There was a loud sound behind him and....need a little excitement? Snap into a Slim Jim!"

Walmart and McDonaldβs are among the top employers of workers who rely on food stamps.
McDonald's CEO raked in $18.2M last year β over 1,000x the company's median employee pay.
Walmart's CEO pocketed $27.4M β 930x the company's median employee pay.
See the problem?
It was cute! It had an actual plot which I was surprised about. Would recommend.
Most ridiculous plot goes to The Cuddle Clause which was about an autistic werewolf who needed to cuddle after returning to human form and has a clause in his roommate contract for the roomie to provide post-werewolf snuggles.

The Idea of You - so glad I didn't do this audiobook @ work since it was another tear jerker & I'd seen the movie already so I could tell myself the "5 years later" added to the movie was canon. The author was the narrator and she did an amazing job with all of the accents/languages.

Breathe With Me - final book in the Playing for Keeps series came out this week and had me crying so hard I couldn't read my Kindle screen and had to have Chris throw me multiple Kleenexes. The author brought up a lot of familiar inner dialogue with infertility.
Faves:
Game Changer series - If Heated Rivalry doesn't find steaming in the US I'm gonna have to move to Canada. Of all the books I've read this year, I think Shane and Ilya's was the best love story.

October wrap up: 50 Books in October; 405 for 2025.
See replies for my favs....and one oddball!
Not even halfway in and was crying so hard I couldn't see the screen and had to ask my husband through sobs for 5 Kleenexes because I knew 1 wouldn't be enough.
She's doing an excellent job of the inner thoughts of someone going through infertility.

My copy finally came off hold on Libby. Enjoying it so far!
My 375th book for the year was the final book of the Game Changers series. I think I may have my first book hangover since finishing Boys of Tommen in June. I desperately need the US to get streaming rights to Heated Rivalry ASAP.
