I have met with most of the cabinet nominees and have carefully watched their confirmation hearings.

After considering what’s at stake, I have voted against moving forward to the confirmation of Ms. Gabbard and Mr. Kennedy, and will be voting NO on their confirmations.

I can’t argue with that, or with your earlier sentiment. If we Democrats are going to try to lean the legislative table in our favor, we need to make as certain as possible that it won’t get shot down by the courts.

They tried this in New York. A court threw out the redistricting map. In the next election, five Democratic house seats in New York went Republican.

Last year, I called out the dangers of Project 2025 and the damage it’d do to our country.

Americans were assured the Trump team had no ties to it—then nominated one of its authors to lead OMB.

My view has not changed and I will be a hard NO on Mr. Vought.

After a year of controversy, central CT town commits to downtown makeover After a year of lawn sign campaigns, social media debates and a even a petition drive, leadership decided Tuesday night to pursue the ambitious and controversial modernization plan for downtown.

I am pleased that the Town of Manchester is going ahead with the plan to improve Downtown. Manchester has a great Downtown that can and will be even better.

Exclusive | Democratic Senator Says He Will Stall Trump Nominees Until USAID Is Back The move would require Senate Majority Leader John Thune to use precious floor time to advance the president’s nominees through the confirmation process.

"Sen. Brian Schatz (D., Hawaii) said he would place a 'blanket hold' on all of President Trump’s State Department nominees ... until USAID again is allowed to operate normally and the administration ceases its 'authoritarian behavior.'"

Until they speak up*, it's safe to assume every CT Republican supports Trump's plan to raise your utility bill.

That includes Republican Jason Perillo, who is running for State Senate. The election is Feb 25th.

The President has a duty to take care that the laws are faithfully executed. But this is a faithless President, an administration filled with plutocrats and toadies, a Congress and SCOTUS that are cheering him on instead of providing oversight or accountability, and a press that’s… well, y’all know.

There's a very interesting SF novel by Harry Turtledove, Guns of the South, about white 20th century South Africans time-traveling to Civil War America to help out "guess which side" with weapons & tech. No idea what's made me think of that.
