I know I haven’t been too active on here, but I wanted to share that I am starting up a new club pertaining to voice acting and audio drama recording in my city. We will have recordings of public domain works available on our website after we get it kicked off in March.

I don’t like to field the complaints from “users” (my kids) so I don’t usually do network maintenance or tinkering at home.

reality tv
goodbye to a tired dusty day
forsaken
evaporated to parts unknown
perhaps playing somewhere on a screen
in another dimension
to the delight and
amazement of our former selves
Flowing through life
like a snowflake
gently falling
piling up
covering everything
you thought your life
used to mean
so you shovel yourself
out from under
the weight
you've been carrying
far too long.

Wrote this short story/script. Thinking about making it into an audio drama. Or maybe a short film. docs.google.com/document/d/1...
Thanks!
Excited for the play, this will be my second time acting on stage. I did a part in an audio play which was fun too, but being in front of an audience and acting alongside other people in real time is better.
From the lowlands
of humanity
Next to the dark crimson sea
we stole everything Ideas,names,lives
In that little life
where the virus never leaves
Our hearts separated
from our soul
lost our courage
crippled and cold
Weave me
into
Your words
Your daydreams
Your arousal
Your fantasies.
Then, You will have me
at the ready
at Your fingertips
to come
apart at the seams.
An #immortal ask,
crossing cultural and economic
lines.
Sometimes we want to be
Heard
Seen
Valued
Treasured
Not for merely
a body part
we may or may not have
but for what and who we are.

Woman under umbrella in rain
Maybe she did go
with too much haste
out in to the dark
to be with Him.
Maybe she should
have turned back
before she went out too far.
Maybe His November #rain
soaked her through
and His storm
left damage on her skin.
And maybe
she would do it all again.

My reading/recording of a poem called My Shadow and I by Richard Le Gallienne, for a site called Librivox.org #poetry
The sky was a pock marked blanket
Trying to smother the light
The trees were shadows
The ocean an angry mess
A cacophony of noise and froth
It was all Beautiful
Sadness without fear
Can be enchanting
Pain without angst
Is different
Awareness without thought
No past
No future
No time

In that case I would hope reasonable people would be satisfied. But haters will always hate; if it wasn’t an age gap it would be religion differences or race differences or who knows what else they would gripe about.
I have been meaning to listen to the Nightvale one myself after a friend recommended it.
I would like to make some video & audio recordings of poems again, it is fun. Does anyone who writes poetry have any they are willing to let me read and post the link and tag you? Disclaimer being if the poem doesn’t speak to me I might nicely decline because I wouldn’t be able to do it justice.
We had an old computer when I was a young kid, with a version of BASIC on floppy disk, and I learned to write some small programs from books. Learning to structure your requirements in a way a computer can understand, regardless of the language, is a valuable skill for life in general.
Relatable.
"ah shoot, i forgot my headphones at hom—" You bolt awake on the beaches of Avalon. You are not a "remote employee working from Starbucks." It is 1166 AD. You are the Prince Mordred, and you have changed your mind. The future cannot come to pass. Camelot must burn.
I think people take issue when there is a perceived power imbalance, with the older partner assumed to be dictating everything in the relationship. Or if there is a case that looks like elder abuse that’s another issue.
Leaves
All the fallen leaves
From no name Trees
All those fallen trees
That return to sand
And rock
All the molten rock
Whirling in a pool
Of waves
of light
All that blinking light
Light we can’t detect
In our blinking mind

Yesterday I auditioned for “Arsenic and Old Lace” which is being put on by a community theater group here. I bet it will be a fun play, and even if I don’t get a part I’m looking forward to watching it.

Played a goofy cop in a short film last weekend, made for the four points film contest.
