“Their appearances on Fox Business, however, continued for a few more weeks — until diGenova used one to utter a widely condemned antisemitic screed, at which point the couple stopped appearing there as well.” @mattgertz.bsky.social

Newsmax hosts are praising Joe diGenova's appointment to run the Trump administration's investigations of its political foes, while their Fox News counterparts are pretending it's not happening. What's the deal? www.mediamatters.org/joseph-digen...
I think it’s bad that the president casually refers to a leader of the opposition as a “traitor.”
More generally: Trump’s economic policy makes more sense once you recognize it’s just an elaborate bribe-solicitation mechanism.
Last month, Trump threatened unidentified media outlets with treason charges. This month, he’ll be speaking at the White House Correspondents Dinner, with Brendan Carr and Pete Hegseth in the audience. www.mediamatters.org/us-iran-rela...
Left, Fox & Friends, 7:02 a.m. "The president is warning about the future of the two-week cease fire, which was broken anyway, and is set to expire tomorrow."
Right, Trump, 7:09 a.m.
It's peace talks day and the president is watching television.

Right, Trump, 6:50 a.m.
As a matter of principle, you can either have a dinner that celebrates the First Amendment or you can have a dinner that features Donald Trump. You can’t have both because the president holds the freedom of the press in contempt. www.mediamatters.org/donald-trump...
Agents of the Democratic Socialists of America have infiltrated the real estate sections of the New York Times and Wall Street Journal and their coverage of mansions is intended to bring about the revolution.
Wow, **everybody** wants to work with @igorbobic.bsky.social ! bsky.app/profile/notu...
Buy a ticket to see a movie I’ve already seen because you’ve added new material I need to understand your new blockbuster? No.
No.
Can't believe he agreed to work with @igorbobic.bsky.social tbh.
Congrats to Tim Cook on his new job at @notus.com !
You may do it differently. Good for you!
I like getting there with tons of time to spare and then reading my kindle while the kids engage in otherwise scarce screentime. There are snacks purchased and a meal consumed, everyone has time to use the bathroom.
Airport discourse: This seems like personal preference where no one is "right" and giving people "advice" about the "best" way to do it provides no value whatsoever.
Good pull from @mattgertz.bsky.social here:
GOP lawyer Joe diGenova, now running Trump’s “Grand Conspiracy” probe, said Bondi had “nixed” him from the role
Election deniers have for weeks targeted Texas' March 3 primaries (& a January special election in the state), baselessly claiming there's been “massive” fraud & cheating in those races.
Republicans have full control of the Texas government, including its chief election officer.
My latest:
Victoria Toensing @VicToensing Hubby being sworn in as Counsel to the Attorney General. 4:04 PM · Apr 20, 2026 · 6,199 Views Jason Reding Quiñones, the US Attorney in Miami, swearing in a much shorter Joe DiGenova.
Joe DiGenova, whose wife once solicited payments from foreigners to lie about Joe Biden in 2019, just got sworn in to investigate things those things he lied about in the past.
Over the weekend I laid out why this is so problematic.

The "Grand Conspiracy" theory is what happens when you take ten years of Sean Hannity monologue transcripts and put them in a blender on high. And so the Trump team has snagged an old veteran of Hannity's green room to run the show. www.mediamatters.org/fox-news/gop...
DiGenova has not appeared on Fox News since October 2019. He was apparently banned after he used the network platform to attack two Fox personalities and then issued an antisemitic screed in which he claimed George Soros controls much of the State Department and FBI.
For those unfamiliar: DiGenova and his wife and law partner, Victoria Toensing, have played roles in nearly every GOP pseudoscandal since the Clinton era, including Benghazi and the Ukraine disinformation plot, and are longtime fixtures in right-wing media.

Whose table is he sitting at for the White House Correspondents Dinner?
imo Obamacare was good.
Yeah I gotta say, a generic ballot of +7 D after car juice spiked to $4 because Trump is a fucking moron is a not actually good.
I believe this which is why I find it disconcerting that his party is currently polling better than it did in ‘18 and is a coinflip to keep the Senate even before an unfathomable amount of campaign spending rains down on the Democrats.
He looks great here even though we all know that when you’re a professional pirate, you don’t have to wear a suit.
Quote: Newsmax chief Washington correspondent James Rosen wrote on X that Carlson responded to Trump's Truth Social post Thursday, saying, "I've always liked Trump and still feel sorry for him, as I do for all slaves." Asked to elaborate, Carlson added: "He's hemmed in by other forces. He can't make his own decisions. It's awful to watch."
Reminder that you never need to hand it to Tucker Carlson.
