7. Super Ghouls n Ghosts

I have a long history with this game, it's one of the first I remember playing as a wee lad. I didn't even know what it was called until later on in life. Finally beat it a few years ago and I'm kinda a fan of the clunky movement that game has, it always seemed fun to run.

Saw some 'art style do an don't' talk go around recently and funny enough I stumbled upon my old take of it

6. Anodyne

Replayed this recently and I've kinda been having fun just doing my own routing and runs through all the dungeons. Thinking about learning it for real soon, depending on what's on my plate in the coming months

5. Super Mario Sunshine

This was one of the games I was considering learning alongside Undertale and Portal but those interested me more at the time. Maybe I'll eventually learn it, it does still look really fun but it's not a priority.

4. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

The game that got me into speedrunning, really. By the time I started properly learning games I had kinda lost interest in this one, but I still remember doing my own routing and keeping a sheet of all my times in like 2012 or so.

3. Kirby's Dream Land 3

Following my Kirby brainrot from the last couple years, I eventually decided I wanted to learn the speedrun for one. KDL3 appealed to me the most, it's a good length, and there's no rng manip to learn, like in k64.

I played the shit out of it when it came out but all i had to work with was my cheap laptop that didn't have the power to record anything. Honestly I wish i had learned it and just didn't record my runs, but my brain at the time felt like it was pointless.
