@profyarrow.bsky.social know of anything?
Guess who's got way too many unfinished fiber projects and a Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence !!!!!!!!
somehow this is the first time I have thought of a mini 3D printed frame loom... How big have you gone on this kinda design while maintaining structural integrity under tension?
yay!
what's all this then...
I'm a big fan of the genre "what academia / libraries could learn from other communities" and this is a lovely example of thinking through a different kind of pragmatic metadata schema.
Jamhouse is JAM-OUTS! The action-puzzler game I've been working on is finally here, and I would really appreciate it if you gave it a look. Thank youuuuu~!

Jam of the Day #23: Bronze!
A Moche stirrup-spout bottle with the form of a Tyto alba, the western barn owl. Orangish in color, with faded white stripes on the deep feathered tufting around its eyes, the owl looks down and slightly to its right. Incredibly realistic.
The goddess Athena herself would have coveted this stirrup-spout bottle in the shape of an owl. Created thousands of miles across the ocean from Greece, this bottle is typical of the work of Moche ceramicists of Peru’s North Coast. #MetMuseum 🏺 1/

If only it weren't during CAMWS alas...

One thing I do is have them highlight/mark in a passage they read what they are unsure about, what they had to look up (these are open book), what they revised after looking stuff up. A way for you to get inside their heads to assess progress (different from some other uses of exams/assessments)
Jam of the day #4: Cherry
Today's Jam of the Day: Dragonfruit!
Yay! It'll be fun to have you at WashU. Though we're a bit low on numismatists at the moment (a couple years ago we had more grad students into it who have since graduated)
I like CAMWS and will be there (this year and next). But I don't know how folks there are about Palestine in particular
William Blake’s illustration for “The Tyger” has what appears to be a dippy grin for some reason.
The wonderful thing about Tyggers
Is Tyggers are burning bright
Their tops are made out of rubber
In the forest of the night
What bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy,
Immortal hand or eye
Did frame the most wonderful thing about Tyggers,
Their fearful symmetry!

Morcus.net has a user friendly Latin corpus search tool that allows for searching by grammatical category, lemma, proximity, etc. Currently his corpus is only at 2 million words, but he is working to expand it to a full mirror of perseus + other open access corpora
