Anger does not begin to describe my thoughts towards the politicians who made this decision @big-tony.bsky.social @indigenousparty.bsky.social.
"The NSW water minister, Rose Jackson, said she and the environment minister Penny Sharpe were aware of the situation." Do better. #AusPol

Ta for the tip about ‘White Rose’ (Of course when this admin said ‘another demographic’ I wasn’t meaning Nazis!) There are lots of good people on Substack, just as there are still good people persevering with Twitter/X for whatever reason. We have to go where people are now, not where they should be
We have no money for paid advertising so we are on as many free platforms as possible. We don’t like the ethics of any of them much. Is this case, Amy McQuire’s ‘Black Witness’ platform drew us to Substack. The long form & quality authors may expose us to yet another demographic to add to
TikTok etc
Yet again @albomp.bsky.social puts business and profit ahead of protecting lives and families. Your supposed gambling reforms are laughable. Truly pathetic. Shame on you!
The Indigenous - Aboriginal Party of Australia (IAPA) is now on SUBSTACK:

There's a rallying cry @indigenousparty.bsky.social !
Here to help. Wondering if talking about and providing options for policies to vote on *now* so you have a comprehensive list for media when you need it could help?
If so, here's a starting point c/o @oaf.org.au of potential values alignment.
@indigenousparty.bsky.social
So angry about #energyjustice + #slowviolence in #australia, and I'm a whitefulla. 🖤💛❤️
"As the NT rolls out solar and smart meters, it has a chance to fix this."
In case you hadn't noticed @francismarkham.bsky.social there is no rollout of solar, unless you're white, urban and you own your own home.
@indigenousparty.bsky.social @robertarnol.bsky.social @big-tony.bsky.social thoughts?
Thanks for the reminder. Done now.
There's also my lot @indigenousparty.bsky.social

APOLOGY ANNIVERSARY (Part 11)
We honour the survivor's courage in telling what is still endured from the profiling of their families: the damage to kinship, community and their own wellbeing; in the past & as a current crisis for today's families
But the time for comfort without action has passed
APOLOGY ANNIVERSARY (Part 10)
In honour of the Aboriginal children who were forcibly removed from their families, their parents & families grief and heartache and the generations who have carried the weight of intergenerational trauma, racial bias and systemic judgment, we pay our deepest respect.
APOLOGY ANNIVERSARY (Part 9)
Change won't come from silence & fear or waiting for permission.
It will come from collective courage
Step up politically, socially & culturally to undo the harm & rebuild the nation on truth, equality & respecting the oldest continuing cultures on Earth
#voteforchange
APOLOGY ANNIVERSARY (Part 8)
An Apology without structural reform is just symbolism.
If this country is serious about justice, then it must move beyond performative reconciliation and toward restoration of First Nations authority, cultural governance and self-determination.

APOLOGY ANNIVERSARY (Part 7)
IAPA’s Marnie Laree Davis noted Aboriginal Lore existed long before colonial law and was founded on accountability, kinship, responsibility & equality. It governed sustainably. It protected children. It honoured land and life.

APOLOGY ANNIVERSARY (Part 6)
Australia has been scrutinised internationally, including through UN human rights covenants, for mistreatment of Indigenous peoples, especially our children, yet domestically, the same patterns persist.

ANNIVERSARY of the APOLOGY (Part 5)
IAPA’s Marnie Davis said systemic discrimination affecting Indigenous children remains embedded in the policing, child protection & justice systems.
This is not accidental. It is due to policy decisions.

APOLOGY ANNIVERSARY (Part 4)
Indigenous children remain the most incarcerated children on the planet.
Curfews are imposed on our communities, cashless control measures target our people,
forced child removals continue at levels of the Stolen Generation.

APOLOGY ANNIVERSARY (Part 3)
IAPA candidate, Marnie Davis spoke about stepping up like our elders & ancestors have. We can’t commemorate an Apology while the harm continues & forced child removals continue at levels of the Stolen Generation
